You know they marked her down for all that telegraphing of the jumps she does.Nmsis said:I would have prefered Sasha to win by more than 0.03 points. She deserved a little bit more than Slutskaya tonight.
The real undermarked tonight is Elena Liaschenko. She ends up 13th with a nice program. I don't like the fact that the judges are trying to make her come out of the competition by the backdoor. That's pretty unfair.
She would have prefer to play golf today.bili said:I am not a Sasha Cohen fan, but that was a brilliant performance!!![]()
A bit sad about Carolina, though, she could have done better.
Question: what exactly happened with Sokolova? I didn't catch her program..
Yes but Slutskaya was a little bit shaky tonight so ...sk8addict said:You know they marked her down for all that telegraphing of the jumps she does.

As you can read at the middle of this thread, she was a little bit shaky and she was really disappointed at the end of her program. You could see it on her face. She lost her balance (a little bit) twice. Her spirals were not as great as usual. But she was good and she had great difficult elementsEngwaciriel said:Was it just me, or did Slutskaya seem a bit "grumpy"? both after the results and in an interview afterwards. Very short answers, and seemed a bit irritated. .And she had pretty much the sama PCS as Arakawa and even lower than Cohen...don't think this is what she expected, is the russian sweap really going to happen..? I hope not, go Japan! :agree:
Have to add that I think Sarah Meier was very underpaid..
My memory could betray me:bili said:Lol (the golf thing). Yeah, I know that she didn't do well, but what? Didi she fall like all times??
Ladies throwin' down, showing the world WHY theirs is THE marquis event of the Winter Olympics!!! I just love it, and I have a feeling that Sasha's going all the way this time...Shizza's likely to bring that hunger we saw in '04...Irina's not going down without a fight...and Fumie, and Elene, and Kimmie, and Emily...wow, what a competition!!! There may be nerves and pressure, but this is going to be...hell, it already IS...a BATTLE ROYALE!!! Whoooo hooooo!!!sk8addict said:You know they marked her down for all that telegraphing of the jumps she does.
Yep. She should be in front of Emily Hughes. But Elena Liaschenko is far more undermarked.Engwaciriel said:Have to add that I think Sarah Meier was very underpaid..
