if that were the case she would have been further up in the rankings at worlds and other major internationals...
If anything she has it harder because she's being compared to an Olympic Champion (especially by the media) but she doesn't seem to really care lol she just goes out and "does her best"

That is an excellent observation. I wonder if this is a deliberate change of policy by the ISU.The past year or two it just had to be difficult, not matter how bad it looked. Now it's the oppisote.
