I'm starting to think that the ISU should just call the flip and lutz as the same jump. They did it for the toeloop and the toe wally, so why can't they do it here? Plus we would see more variety of the jumping content in the SP (Instead of always seeing the same jumping passes over and over again like 3Z-2T, 3F, 2A)

What a mess. This GP series in ladies are kind of weird so far(I haven't been following other disciplines lately). At SA, Meissner who has more obvious lip than Yuna got just '!' mark and some judges didn't even give deduction. I'm baffled by this inconsistent edge call. By the time at Worlds, ISU will probably have to fix this problem.

Oh, I agree on this. Yeah, those fierce, diehard fans can get annoying, to say the least.
Look, as a Yu-Na fan, I'm willing to admit the UR is legit. I think the 'e' call was a little too harsh. I think an ! would have been more appropriate, especially with the judges being a little on the generous side with other skaters in this competition. It looks like while some of the other skaters got the benefit of the doubt today, Yu-Na didn't. It happens to everyone and the fans need to learn how to deal with it without being so aggressive.

I agree with you 100% on this one.
The interesting thing is that Miki's 2 rotated 3Lo got +0.83 GOE and Yuna's 2.75 rotated 3lz marked downgrade and -0.42 more.

Did you watch her 3F today? I don't think you watched it in any high resolution video. If you said it based on LP of SA, you should watch today's one.
So what you're telling me that in order for me to see that Yuna had an inside edge, I needed to watch her SP in high resolution? I really hope you're kidding at this point. She got the marks she deserved (IMO a bit high but whatever) and SHE'S STILL IN FIRST, so stop complaining.

Because the scandalous scheme is being used by technical controller/judges to hold some skaters up and some others down. Yu-Na Kim was a major beneficiary in the past as technical controller gave a hard time to other skaters with similar so-called UR jumps but turned a blind eye on Yu Na Kim's.
These calls are not scientific and the technical controllers are applying different standards to different skaters at different competitions. Yu Na is still benefitting from her reputation, but that does not mean she will not be hit unfairly by purposeful wrong UR and edge calls in the future when she loses her lustre and some other 'stars' pull ahead of her.

It does seem like some skaters are being hit harder then others. I wonder if Ashley was being given the benifit of the doubt on hers because she is the last hope for the US ladies to have a shot at the GPF. And with worlds in the US this year ... well we all know how important ladies skating is in the US.

Why are these poeple still complaining as if it's the end of the world when Yuna is still in 1st place? It happens, Yuna is a human being like everyone else and she underroated her jump today. Why can you just accept it? I am getting tired of people who popped up recently think Yuna can do no wrong.
It's more about her flip, I think.

First of all, Technitial specilalist is not really experienced one, he has been judge
in junior grand prix only for twice and that's all of his experince as a judge.
and, as most of you well know Yuna has been called as " a Textbook of jumping, the only woman skater who can jump on right edges in every jumps" untill now.
Her flip jump was perfect and has nothing to do with wrong edges at all.
I strongly belive it's judge's mistake or he has other fish plans as to let Miki Ando go for the grand prix.

I don't think Fumie would be happy if the flip and lutz are called the same jump even though she flutzes. That's the jump and toeloop, she is still capable of doing.

This is ridiculously laughable.
Fans have been arguing about her LIP for ages. Being lavished by rabid commentators as a 'textbook' jumper does not necessarily make you so. I was more pissed off by not-calling-her-URs in the past instead of LIPPING though.

It's not that I, and some of her fans are complaining she should't or could not have made any mistakes. Of course she can. She is human being as you said.
What really makes me angry is that she was treated unfairly enough.
If her jumps is underotated, well, WHY NOT all other skaters who competed togatehr such as Wagner, Ando? They did underotated FAR MUCH MORE than Yuna Kim did. Don't you think it's unfair, stupid that Only Yuna Kim had to bear that strict judgement? Yeah, rule is rule. Then apply it to ALL THE SKATERS fairly!
