Ladies SP

Is Alissa going to end up 3rd in the SP?

And IMO, if Kimmie's combo got UR, then so should Carolina's, quite possibly.

nuts! I hope this doesn't hurt Kimmie's confidence - those tech scores look super low. I'm glad she skated well - by viewers standards - and hope she fights in the LP too.

Thanks for the updates everyone!

They seem to be much more stricter this season with URs. BTW, I Julia's jumps were impressive. They were huge.

What the hell happened with Kimmie?!?!?!?! I didnt see any underrotation & she did not fall... somethin's fishy!!! Seriously

Poor kid can't catch a break. She was better off falling on her butt. With a fall, she scored a 54 something at Skate America. It's frustrating. I can only imagine how she feels. Her TES is lower than everyone in this competition, including several people who fell. Makes no sense.

Geez Louise, Kostner's PCS are astronomical! Was she really that good?

(Being a little silly trying to make myself feel better about Kimmie!)

I read on another board that all of Kimmie's triples were underrotated and possibly even her 2axel.

Kimmie: She was clean - did she get UR calls on everything? That score is preposterous.

Flatt: first time I've seen her in real time. She seemed tentative, I think with experience she'll learn to project more to the audience. Was she not feeling well? She looked flushed and her eyes seemed glassy.

Carolina Kostner: I don't think she was held up that much. Caro loads up her base mark so that even if she makes mistakes, she's usually got enough to work with. Wasn't she the only one who did a 3-3? She sold the program very well apart from the fall on the 3L.

I still hate Fumie's SLS. There's a stop every three seconds and half of it is two-footed besides.

All in all, another uninspiring bunch of SPs from the ladies. Let's hope for better from the pairs and the men.

How is this possible??? 48 points total??? I mean, even if the lutz's downgraded, still will have like around 55 points?? And i don't see the second jump as underroated at all! Not even the lutz to me.

If you say those two triples are both downgraded, MANY other jumps in the competition today should be downgraded, but weren't...

Maybe Kimmie should just keep falling, so she'll get a 54-ish score still..... WTF??

I think Rachael still has a good chance to win this as she tends to rally her charge in the LP. Carolina tends to falter moreso in the LP. It will be interesting to see what happens to Fumie. I would be very surprised if the champion does not arrive from this top trio after the SP.
