I'm starting to get grumpy about Mirai's PCS but as I'm not any kind of COP expert I don't want to jump to conclusions... some please tell my why she is nearly tied with so many in PCS?

I agree she's underscored in the PCS. Sarah Meier and Cynthia Phaneuf, who are close to her in PCS, were both hugely overscored despite lackluster skates. Elene Gedevisilldifdiuufididfuiudf, on the other hand, deserved even higher PCS than Mirai.

Because some others (like Cynthia) have great artistry too. I don't think that Elene's should be quite as high as Mirai's, but I do think Cynthia's are on par.

It's because she's 16 and they can do that. She wasn't as fast or expressive as usual today either, I'm just glad her scores are holding up! The same thing happened in the men's competition, it's what held Brezina, Kozuka, Ten back in the rankings.

Well, I agree the fire wasn't completely there.... Ah hooey. Whatever, she was great I won't spend another minute disecting her program or feeling grumpy.

I never noticed Kiira Korpi has such nice skating skills. Great knee action to propel herself smoothly, and such nice arm movements. I must remember to be critical even whilst I ogle. Splat on the 3lutz will cost her, though.

1. She's never skated in a senior World Championship.
2. She's American lady #2.
3. She was visibly nervous, had a shaky Lutz combo, and she's capable of better speed, attack, and expression than she showed tonight.
4. This is a competition of many great skaters from all around the world with internatonal judges; you can't expect someone with as little experience as Mirai to receive as high PCS scores as she got at Nationals.

She'll build her reputation with the senior international judges in time. She got a very respectable score overall and should be pleased. She did well!

It is Mirai's first major senior international event after all and is coming after a lackluster year on the GP circuit. PCs still do have a lot to do with reputation.

She has never been consistent, and is tall...Asians are much more pleasant to watch...though she's the prettiest girl in Ladies' skating

All the pretty europeans girls are so beautiful to watch tem skate, classy and elegant styles, but damn they sure like to screw up their programs with pops and falls (except for Elene, she was awesome).
