Look at the Olympic Medals!

I don't know...I think I like the idea of having the medals representing where the Games were held. Makes it more interesting.

I didn't care for the front views of the medal - reminded me of old subway tokens. Perhaps they should have used the shinier finish on the viewing surface and the duller finish on the circumference.

The Albertville medals were constructed of LaLique crystal of France and I'm sure they felt much more substantial in hand.

I also liked the Nagano medal - land of the rising sun I presume.

I don't like them. IMO, the more "original" they try to make them look, the less attractive they are. But I guess those getting the medals don't give two cents about what they look like.
