She is a great skater. Let's see if she makes it to the GPF.

She seemed to hesitate on the podium about how high she should hold her medal:laugh:

Thank you puremagic! Mako certainly deserves her own thread. Do you happen to know what her other JGP event is? I'm assuming she would definitely have a second one.

Congratulations to Mako on her bronze medal for Jr. Worlds! And a thank you to Team Yamada/Fluffy for taking such good care of her. All the best for a great season next year! <3

makoooo congrats.i am shoook she get bronze really shook 😭.next season please shine again.

i hope mako learn 3 axel too. maybe coach yamada can talk to midori to teach mako 3 axel??
couse mako jump is so nice .or this summer maybe mako and yura go to chicago (i mean team yamada go to chicago to learn new jump??)

Gongrats to Mako for her bronze medal! I was at the arena and got so excited for her. She did really well and held it together, skating after Sasha. I'm not so sure what exactly happened for her to end up in the picture of Team Tutberidze, but they all skated to the exit of the rink and the coaches came to take the picture. She was there with them and she seemed a bit lost, not knowing exactly what to do and Sergei told her something and invited her to take a picture with them. I thought that it was really nice.

Darn - just learned Mako Yamashita has withdrawn from The Ice. Hope she isn't injured.

^I am hoping it is not because of injury too. The statement was vague of why she withdrew.

I meant to put the link to the statement but forgot and then couldn't remember where I'd read it. I loved her program, but I thought she seemed super nervous while performing. I figured it was just ice skating show nerves, but maybe she was uneasy due to injury.

ETA -- There was no explanation about why she cancelled. Found the announcement on THE ICE official web site.

So before she has her 2 GP assignments, Mako has Asian Open and Lombardia. Busy, busy!
