I checked Marin's ISU profile and it says that she practices 60 hours a week  That means 8.5 hours per day, isn't it too much? Obviously there's also off ice training and maybe ballet/ dance clases but this just crazy, isn't it?
Marin and Yuzuru. So cute![]()
Very few hours ON THE ICE per day, or in totally (on+off ice)?Seems that Marin trains very few hours per day (source: Mie Hamada). Maybe, now, near Olimpics, (my dear) Marin reinforces her training
Breadstall: all jumps in second half (like Alina). That has aesthetical problems but gather more score.
It's more advantageous to do a 2axel-3toe if it can be done well, because it maximises the GOE potential, so I think she should stick with it. This whole legend that doing two 3-3 is better rewarded by the judges seems ridiculous to me. I am not saying that is logical, but the system rewards an easier combination, so I can't find a reason not to do it. Eteri's girls don't have great triple Axel, otherwise they would be doing 2A-3t combos (like Yulia did)
Absolutely! If she's comfortable with a -3lo she should go for it, especially because it would be very advantageous on the SP. And yes, success rate is what matters the most in the end.Because I saw her trying these -3Lo combos, I would love her to put it in programs but consistency is the most important.
