She will change it. It's a piano piece, Marina Zueva choreopraphed it, Coach Hamada described the music 'like divine and it complements Marin’s flow on ice'. She is said to debut it at Skate Canada.

Oh that's exciting!! I hope we get to see it at Carnival on Ice after Japan Open. I think Evgenia and Ashley performed their SPs there after Japan Open last year IIRC, and maybe other skaters too I'm not sure.

Marin skated her free program to Turandot at Japan Open, earning a score of 133.41 (69.20 TES + 64.21 PCS) and placing 5th in the ladies. She stepped out of the opening lutz that was meant to be part of a combo, but she managed to recover by adding +1Lo+2S to her last jump.

Marin said that she is regretful.
On the junior circuit, when she could have this kind of performance she would feel satisfied.
However, on the senior circuit competing with all these strong skaters, she said she still lacks many things.
So it has been a long time since she felt this regretful and she would like to become stronger.

The lady said that Marin's performance was overall great but since there are only 2 spots available for the Olympics it will definitely be a bloodbath fight for her.

Marin's new SP is much better than the planned one with comical circus music. The Giving is a beautiful piano tune and I can see why she was so eager to change this season's short program at the last minute, by which Marin skates like Kaitlyn Weaver.
