Mens Free Skate

The ISU thing was more of an example. Every real fan is going to watch it live anyway - it's not like soccer where only the result is interesting and the game mostly boring. I should stop getting worked up about this. :disapp:

I'm trying on JLC's internet tv, so far no luck on the NBC stations. Beep-Beep was watching yesterday, apparently.

I only got the first bc (pairs free and ladies short) :frown:

KPVI-TV(NBC) will bc it.

There is the problem: when it was about 5 minutes to start the ledies long, yhe channel disconnected and turned into asian corporate NBC, and it hadn't came back yet last time I checked. The other NBC there, KNDU, is only local news. Read the ladies short program on TV thread and you'll get my disappointment...

I found NBC4 (Los Angeles) on Tvants, kinda crossing my fingers on that one, but it will be really late for me (about 1 am here, if I didn't count it wrong)

Well, I'm not planning on staying late either. I'm only interested in who's new US Mens Champ anyways. I can DL vids later, or maybe I'll skip altogether.

I've been complaining (really b*tching, actually) about the lack of live results for days. As soon as I realized they were turning pretty much everything over to icenetwork and nbc, I was so steamed. I really, really like having an isu or icecalc site with live results. It certainly doesn't mean I'm not going to watch the broadcast, but I like to follow results LIVE. I thought I'd complained enough in other threads, but I'm getting irritated all over again.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all the posters who have given us pbp's and reports/impressions. Please keep them coming!

I really want to know about Johnny and Evan before the broadcast starts!

does anybody remember the site from last years us nats? i dont remember if we could watch live...but i remember that there was a LOT more coverage than there is this year...this was before ice network took over and everything but im surprised that the coverage is less than last year when it seems like there should be more...

This year all coverage has been contracted from USFS to icenetwork, and you can watch everything live. They have NEVER offered that sort of coverage before, and it's really fantastic, if you choose to pay for the coverage. And of course, icenetwork wants as many people as possible to pay for the coverage, so they aren't going to offer any scoring updates while the competition it going on.

I didn't pay for the coverage, since I've been out of town all week, and wouldn't have been able to see anything until the weekend, anyway. But I totally understand why icenetwork chose not to offer online scoring. It just takes away people who might otherwise pay. It's a business decision.

Oh, and I understand why FSU requires payment for their forums, too. It's very expensive to run a forum with that sort of traffic. Both icenetwork and FSU are very cheap for what you get.

I paid for IceNetwork and have enjoyed it so far, but the coverage for this years Nat's and waiting for NBC to air them is driving me crazy. If I paid for IceNetwork.com I feel I should have access to the coverage despite what they worked out with NBC. It's not like I'm getting it for free. The way I look at is that USFSA got paid twice - once by all the IceNetwork subscribers who got the shaft and then by NBC!

Yeah well I'd go for less coverage-at-a-price and the old Icecalc updated-scores means of getting info on competition results. But of course, I don't have the choice if I don't fork over the cash as a lot of other people don't.

USFS isn't getting any money from NBC. NBC didn't pay anything for the coverage.

thats what i was talking about! lol i knew there was something. why cant they do both that and icenetwork? it sucks to not be able to see what they get right away...especially in the us for us nationals.. i mean, you could even see the europeans live results for everything.
