Nathan Chen

Edit: Wrong thread. What I mean to say here was, that was AMAZING!!! Everything I was hoping for. I've never seen Nathan skate with such FIRE, and if it took him losing the short program to do that, it was worth it.

I signed in to GS for the first time in 2 years and only Nathan could get me to do that! Hi guys--I hope you've been well. ☺️

I'm so proud of the performance Nathan put down today. Everything was so clean! And I might be in the minority but I've loved this Philip Glass program from the beginning (the short not as much). I love the musical accents: the quad sal when the music changes, the footwork sequence, the choreographic sequence are all so satisfying.

I was so worried after the fall in the short but Nathan showed, as usual, that he's a superlative competitor. Take care guys.

So... looking ahead to Nebelhorn.

USA, Russia, Canada, South Korea, and France will need to send men to secure their additional Olympic spots... that is if I've done my counting correct and I understand the rules.

This normally sleepy little competition is going to be wild now!

I haven’t see it yet. I was hiding in my room during his skate, praying of course! LOL
Same! I didn't even dare look when it was all over.

So this makes me wonder, do Nathan and Yuzuru both 'suffer' from the same problem? Not being able to follow the other one, when one of them puts down a good skate? This better not be the case, because then next Olys would be decided mostly by the draw... :/

OT, but seriously impressed with Yuma. So young and able to skate after nathan's score. But not sure that's Yuzu's problem. He has given away more one world championship with mistakes in the freeskate. I don't even know if Nathan was that bothered by Yuzu's SP, his score was good but not anything he can't beat, or it was just a fluke. Maybe they should not pay any attention to what the other is doing.

Such a beautiful, beautiful performance in every aspect! I love this free skate - including the quiet gracefulness of the step sequence followed by the fire of the choreo sequence. He was feeling it today. The applause at the end was so heartwarming - so much respect from his fellow skaters.

My heart was beating outside of my chest during that whole freeskate, WOW Nathan was truly incredible! Picture perfect, I'm so thrilled for him! I loved seeing the standing ovation from the audience of skaters, it's so nice to see how respected he is from his peers. Three time World Champ! It could've been four time champ, darn pandemic but of course it could also still be only two time champ if they didn't hold Worlds again this year, so like Nathan I will be thankful for this Worlds happening at all. Congrats Nathan!
