Nebelhorn Trophy 2013: Sep 25-28 [Oberstdorf, Germany] - Olympic Qualifying Event

Kim LUCINE (MON)

Music: Jungle Book by Charles Koechlin

Brown costume w/ vines draped around him

I loved Kim's "Jungle Book" routine when he did it at Worlds in 2012. And, although the judges didn't really score it well, the audience loved it!

Although it was, well, "different", I loved his Super Mario SP yesterday. And the audience loved it as well!

So, I was really looking forward to see what he came out with today. And, I have to admit, I was disappointed. I don't know whether it was because we had seen it before, or whether it was just because it wasn't a great skate. But the "Jungle Book" routine just didn't have the same magic about it today that it did at Worlds.

It's probably too late for this year, but I would recommend finding an alternative FS routine that will get the audience behind you.

Its such a shame for Finland. Their skaters are very much capable of qualifying. I suppose the Olympics does weird things to people- for better or for worse. Its a completely different beast in comparison to Worlds.

On another note- We've have had some very exotic Free Skates thus far- Les Mis to Prince of Persia, some Gladiator routines, Alexander soundtrack, jungle book. Some very nice concepts.

LADIES FREE SKATE - RESULT & VIDEOS (updated)

1. Elena RADIONOVA (RUS) - 188.21 RL]
Medal Ceremony

Elena Radionova's gala program is expected to be really fantastic!!! Can anyone ask those in Oberstdorf take a video of her gala program and Miki's & Ashley, of course. I would be so much delighted to get a feeling that I was there too - so I really hope that somebody would make a video from Gala of top three Ladies. Thank you!!!

Just to let you know that the coverage has started on Eurosport International 2

(Sorry for the late message - I thought the skating was on the Eurosport International 1. Oops! Just as well I realised before we got any further!)

The first two passes for Martinez were:

3A-2T Stiff (perhaps a slight two foot)
3A fall

He actually wasn't terrible. I liked the cantilever into the.... salchow, i think was the jump.

Hmm... My stream keeps freezing, so I can't say. I only saw a fall and a step-out, so I just assumed. But he got a PB and 1st for that skate, so not so bad.

Anyone got a link for Eurosport 2 International?
