Thanks to everyone who did the pbp!! I finally get to watch the pairs short and long on ESPN tonight.
I have to see D/D did the magic to me and totally deserve the bronze. However, I don't see why their technical score should be higher than Z/Z.

S/S long program's score totally surprised me even though they are my favorite team with their strong performance this season. I don't get the judge's score (even though I saw some post here saying they deserved the score and the explaination). To me their mistake in the program totally throw off the flow of the program. That's why I don't understand their high technical score and PCS score. To me it once again feels like the judges are judging based on the seasonal performance, not today's performance. If so, why do we bother to have this world championship? The judges should just hand out the medal based on the season's performance total.

Z/Z is just superior in technique in my mind. I don't know if anyone here watch the ESPN's side-by-side comparison of Z/Z and S/S. Apparently ESPN agrees with me and the commentator was surprised by S/S win too.

P/T is another team that has the magic besides D/D. I just love this team!! The judge gave them very lower tech. score (the 7th!), even lower than Rena/John Baldwin! That's weird to me too.

Overall the pairs LP judging frustrated me. But that's a norm in figure skating world, right? No wonder this sport is losing fans.:disapp::disapp::disapp:

Haven't actually watched much of it yet; due to work schedule, etc, I probably won't until Saturday, BUT based on what I DID see, I will make this one observation:

John Baldwin's HAIR is a major improvement. He looks much better with it cut and combed back as opposed to that RATPILE he usually has going on up there.

Chineese lost cuz they had no chemistry no cohesion they were like two robots out there no expressions at all. Stop making excuses it's getting boring your teams lost cuz they didn't deserve it. The German-Ukrainian team won not because they were spectacular but simply because all around they were the "best" team on the night. Congratulations to them.

Maybe but that wasn't my goal. Simply getting annoyed of people blaming the judges for their team bad skates or below expectations skates. The competition level was low but I certainly agree and most experts agree with this top 5. Congratulations to the new World Champions.

Well maybe I sound harsh but it's simply because the performances were below expectations all around. It was really good with the Ladies though and tonight for the Dance it should be the highlight of the week.

You weren't seeing things and I've been wondering about it too. It looked like she's missing half of a finger. At first I thought it was a bad angle of the camera in the K&C, but when I saw it again, it does look like there's a portion of a finger missing on her one hand.

Yes, Jessica Dube has part of a finger missing on one hand. It happened when she was four years old:

Sorry for not getting to this sooner, but thanks for the link to the article. I wonder how much more difficult it was at the beginning of their partnership for the grips for the lifts and getting it right. By now, they've made the adjustment, but early on it had to have some sort of an effect.

Just wondering...
