Random Confessions

Random confession? I can't sleep on my back, only on my stomach or on my side.

hi Snow63!:ghug::), it seems like exactly my case - I can e.g. watch TV lying on my back, but I can fall asleep only on my side or on my stomach...

my random confession would be admitting that I have a 'set of books' I'm constantly re-reading on a loop, regrdless having unread ones waiting for me, some stories seem to be too good to live up only once

I just played a song that had ton of F-bombs in it right in front of my daughter. LOL.

Haha yes. I just am hoping she doesn't end up saying it in from of her grandparents.

Same here! :agree:

So, that's me and you and Toddler P.

Hey, I just realised: you could almost make a song out of that sentence...

EDIT: Just read on and realised I missed NoNameFace (who, by the way, should NOT be bemoaning their English skills!).

The song doesn't really work with 4 names...

hello :), thank You a lot for Your remark about my English :thank:, same to Mrs. P earlier posted, it really means a lot

about song...well, if I someone could be 'creative', I with my sleeping habit could be a third line of the song, referred as 'Miss K.':

'...So, that's me and you and Toddler P.,
don't forget about Miss K.'

LOL, :palmf::dbana::dance3:

ETA - so karne is joining the gang, second line then could be modified to accomodate her, like 'same goes to karne and Miss K.'

and our song could be called 'Belly sleepers', slay:cool14:

Confession: I found the 4CC men and pairs to be a snoozefest... like not even worth the time to watch.

How about this: I'm almost 27 and my current pillow is a giraffe Pillow Pet.

hi:), I'd say that you have an excellent taste then!, myself, I am also almost 27 and still get all mushy/teary over bear/dog mascots...

I do this too! I sort of end up halfway between stomach and side, though.

I do that too :) But my favorite pose for sleeping is on my stomach with both of my hands under the pillow my head rests on. It's heaven!

By the way, why everyone here is complaining that their English is bad? :scratch2: I can understand everyone perfectly and almost never see any mistakes. But mayhaps it's because my English is just as flawed

And another one: I LOVE karaoke'ing. Which is bad, considering that I sound live worse than Katy Perry in her famous 'Wide Awake' performance :dbana: And I am STILL not over that one evening when I absolutely SLAYED Beyonce's 'I Was Here' in the club, but then found my friends pretending that they don't even know me. Apparently I wasn't that good

Snow63, RE: karaoke, I think we talked about this before....just so you know "Karaoke with Snow63" is still on my bucket list!

My fave karaoke songs: Madonna's "Holiday," Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of my Head" and New Order's "Bizzare Love Triangle."

I will say that the best part of being a mother to a toddler (among other things) is that buying stuffed animals is a reasonable thing cause you're "buying them for your kid."

The other day to my husband. "OMG those PyeongChang Olympic mascots are so cute, I need to get them .... for our daughter."

hehe, at least You have an excuse about those mascots :), but there is something in saying that no matter what age are we, there's still a part of a child in us, so maybe here goes my mushy-feely affection over stuffed animals?

and Madonna is my instant karaoke fix too, 'Vogue' and 'Material girl' in particular, but my faves are 70's and 80's classics like 'I will survive', 'Venus' or 'Maria' by Blondie :cheer:

Yes definitely -- I think it's cool to appreciate things from the viewpoint of a kid....and to be active like a kid!

Ooohh I love 70s tunes for karaoke too. I also like singing to "Le Freak" by Chic.

And then there's me going "I bought 2 Pooh Bears yesterday" and everyone else goes " :roll9:  :scratch2: ".
It didn't get any better when I was asked why??? and the answer was "...to throw them at somebody  "

Speaking of which, you may have a new Yuzu-fan in training in my little girl. She watched Yuzu's SP to Prince and was shaking her little booty. And she was watching a pooh movie the other day so I could work.

(And I suppose that's a confession....once in a while I let my toddler watch television....so much for no screen time until 2...Don't worry it's not all the time, just usually a last resort.)

You trained her well..... I mean, your girl's got good taste

My parents also went with the "last resort" method when I was little. Like that one time, when I was sick and couldn't go to kindergarten. Which was kind of inconvenient at the time because there were some huge renovations going on at our house. So my mom had to deal with handyman and stuff that didn't work as planned, and a whiny sick kid on top of it all. So she sat the kid down to watch a cute little bunny cartoon that happened to be on TV, while she went back to deal with the renovation stuff..... fun fact: the cute little bunny movie was Watership Down, and to this day I am traumatized! (and I let her know any chance I get  every time the conversation comes to anything bunny-related, she already knows what's going to come up again. "wah wah wah, just one single time I didn't check 20 times before I let you watch something as a kid" I know, I'm mean.)
