Another 'jewel' of comment I found today under Virtue/Moir FD Nationals video on YT asking, why they have done the same program during Olympic Team Event... Year, let's make them all prepare dozen for each season:palmf:

The local NBC Affiliate's sports team kept messaging me on twitter last night because they don't know jack about skating and they were asking all sorts of questions regarding Keegan's chances and stuff... I think I deserve some sort of compensation for being their researcher :laugh:

I have to say, never before I am so disgused at the media covers skating as this season, ESPECIALLY AMERICAN MEDIA.

NBC, icenetwork and their biased commentary, poorly-informed articles, idiotic statements... disgusting.

Note that I know media in other countries suck as well, but I don't think it's up to this level of biased and double standard.
 
I got so tired of everyone bashing Tara and Johnny, that during the mens FS, I sat with a notebook and vowed I would write every positive thing they said, just so that I would know that I was not crazy. Within no time, I had a full page of positive, complimentary things they said, and I decided there was no need to keep writing. Conclusion: Some people love to criticize anything the big, bad Americans do. Many people have their own agenda. Even though people understand English as a second language, they may not grasp all the nuances (just like I don't with my second language).

ONE EXAMPLE OF AN ANGRY POSTER: That figures, NBC doesn't cover the Men's FS medal ceremony because a U.S. skater didn't get a medal. (Um, not quite. The medal ceremonies are held separately, remember?)

Yes!!! THIS!!!

Tara and Johnny have and will at times again annoy me but nowhere near to the extent of which the posters who continuously and repeatedly bash them. They are on a whole new level!

My confession: I know and work with people involved with the USA Hockey Team and the US development program and was still pulling for OAR today. I just want to see Datsyuk get a gold medal. Go Wings Go!! He is by far my favorite hockey player ever and the definition of sportsmanship and creativity.
 
I failed my Gold MITF test today. I'm not even that upset that I failed- I failed because when I get nervous my edge quality goes to (insert curse word of choice). What makes me mad is I put my stupid foot down twice on the brackets when I did that pattern 7 times on the freestyle before the test without putting my stupid foot down.

Obviously I am really mad at my stupid foot. :bang: At least my coach is patient with neurotic adult skaters.

They follow me because of Iditarod - the woman in charge of the sports team there and I have been "twitter friends" since about 2012 when she found out I worked for one of the top kennels and figured I was a good person to try and get insider info from. I was their social media person anyway so that helped. Over the last 6 years she's used me a lot. So she's had her team also follow me. When the guy who's been reporting on the olys saw I also knew a *little* bit about figure skating and Keegan he apparently got excited. :laugh:

WATTS is hardly ever shown on British Eurosport any more. :disapp: Probably because of Eurosport having different sports rights in different countries now, and hence some clips not being able to be shown here.

I miss it.
