marks for Doronina:(after a loooooooooooooooong delay, i think there was a PC-problem or something) 149,09 overall 1st place (2nd in LP). She doesn't seem happy

It will be difficult for the next skater to skate after such a delay...

12. Olga Naidenova

3t-2t not so easy-looking

Naidenova gets 145,34 overall and she moves to 2nd, over Gerboldt
Doronina 1st and Naidenova 2nd, with 2 skaters to go

layback to bielmann OK
back camel to catch-foot to scratch (not fast) spin
2f-2t (again)

she is so slow that she shouldn't try the steps there
camel to bielmann to catch-camel to scratch
end
red-to-purple face color:biggrin:

another skate with no falls or step-outs but again, very slow and nothing special on choreo

Have a feeling the judges are going to be a bit generous with Petushkova after her strong skate at Cup of Russia.

146,99 overall for Petushkova (despite 4th place for LP). She is 2nd now. Doronina stays 1st

Last Skater - Oxana Gozeva (3rd after SP)

It's over for her. Doronina will be champ for 2nd straight year!!
flying sit spin, not good position
sloooow spirals
stumble at footwork
I lost connection again. Anyway, she will not be in the first places...

Doronina is 17 (looks much older), Naidenova is 20 and Petushkova only 15. Looks like the RFSF is pushing 'veterans'.

OTOH, didn't Piseev dish Naidenova last year as being "too old"?

It's been confirmed on FSU that one of Lutai's spins that was level 4 was counted originally.

Thanks, I found the article
Lakernik explains that one of Lutai's spins was going to be level 4 but then they decided that it was level 3 and then they saw it again and went back to 4 and when they put it on the computer it said: Level 4 0points and that was what had to be rectified.

So whom will Piseev send to Europeans? I'll be very interested to see if he takes another chance on Doronina.

They have two Ladies spots for Euros, so it is going to be Doronina and Petushkova. The Worlds will go to the one who shows the best at Euros.

How sure are we? I think that Martinova is better than these two...

How sure are we? I think that Martinova is better than these two...

Before the event Piseev officially announced that the first two finishes in any discipline, no matter who, will be sent to Euros, the third placement will be decided by Federation and Worlds placements will be decided by the Euros results. Now. there were some doubt on Petushkova's age eligibility but it turns out she had her 15th birthday in May and IS eligible. Finally, Martinova had disastrous season so far, and knowing Pissev he is not going to be patient with her.

I'm surprised K/S beat M/T by 4 points. K/S only made one mistake of doubling a sbs jump, and they were more polished...

Maybe it's true the Russian federation is pushing for K/S over M/T?

I actually believe M/T are a better bet on getting better international results for the next 2-3 years. K/S are just not refined, and they will not score well if they do not skate clean on internaitonal scene.
