:eeking: Well I hope she won't... she'll still be 19 at the Olympics.Congratulations to Satton on her 3rd National title! I love her works with Tom Dickson and would love it too if she'd work with him for both her programs next season. Especially if she's going to retire after PyeongChang Olympics which I have no doubt she'll be on the team for.

she keeps defying odds and delivers time and time again!! (okay, she had a step out and couple URs but still
) i am still sad that Yuzuru wasnt there to be her buttler but i am glad she had one
:agree:
:hap57: and thank you everyone for providing many updates
Yes for 100 pages![]()
What do you mean she got a couple of URs I thought they overlook her URs in Japan and inflate her to the roof![]()

Although i am quite disappointed with the lack of media coverage. I meant yes they did celebrate her but I cannot help but feel that she is overshadowed by coverage about Mao or Marin. Perhaps i am mistaken or maybe I don't search for the videos deep enough (i searched mainly YouTube with her Japanese characters), but she didn't seem to be the main star in most videos i found with her name on the titles. (Please allow me to clarify that i am not hating Mao or Marin. They are also incredibly talented, but in Satton i also personally see fighting spirit that i admire). I wish I could see more of her![]()

Do you think this could be her new SP for next season? I really like it (I think she's skating to the Rosemary Clooney version). I like sassy Satoko!
(Although it would've been touching to see her skate to "One More Try" again, given George Michael's untimely passing.)
Before taking the ice Sunday, Miyahara’s coach Mie Hamada ordered her to “go for it and win this thing,” which might have accounted for Miyahara seeming a bit tight during her performance.
On the second of her combination jumps, Miyahara underrotated the maneuver and lost her balance.
“Overall, I was too hesitant,” Miyahara reflected later, her dissatisfaction putting a damper on the joy of winning a third straight crown.
Hamada had her reason for her straight-shooting instruction — it is to help make Miyahara mentally stronger. She used the example of soccer to explain her method, saying that any player can score if none is marking them, but what makes a player like Lionel Messi special is that he can find the net with three defenders around him.
Next spring’s world championships will serve as the qualifier for national and regional places for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, which will likely present a different atmosphere between Miyahara and her rivals than she has had up to last season.
Hamada wanted Miyahara to experience a similar pressure at the All-Japan meet. “I want her to be aware of being the pillar [for Japan],” Hamada said.
Interesting indeed, Hamada sensei had a point.Interesting information from The Yomiuri Shimbun:
