I have been watching so manu clips of Shoma falling asleep in interviews that's so funny but he really must be so exhausted. Poor boy.

Very nice comments about Shoma in TSL OG recap of men´s event. There is a guest, an American coach who says: "probably the best looking Asian ever, completely well dressed, has the best knees, is the best skater after Patrick and has guts!". These comments in 40.10, but they discuss about him earlier too. Worth of listening, they talk a lot about jumps.

hamaguri, thank you for all your translations. I realize how much we have missed you in this thread! So glad to read that he thanks his mother for pushing him! Thank you Mrs. Uno for helping Shoma to be all that he can be!

I think the stuff I'm enjoying the most is the Shoma/Itsuki stuff. They are so fun together. I wonder why it took so long for this info to come out about how Shoma was a premature baby. That practically had me in tears. So even as a tiny baby he was a fighter! It makes me love him all the more!!! Hopefully after he sleeps he will reflect on this and realize what an amazing feat he has accomplished. No Shoma, your life will not be the same! :laugh2: How many commercials will Shomajesty have? He needs one that has something to do with sleeping! :biggrin: Or one about beef?!

I am still hoping we hear from Gramps! I want to hear about how proud he is of his grandson!

I think I love that photo so much because it's hard to tell who's more excited about the medal -- Itsuki or Sho! Part of it belongs to Itsuki for being such a good brother and a help to Shoma. The whole thing was a family effort actually. :thank: Itsuki. :points: And here is Shoma today. :yawn::bed:

I think this short interview is nice.
He says he realizes how hard the Olympic medallist is for suffering from sleep shortage.
And about watching other skaters performances, he watches all the skaters while waiting since it is simply fun to watch and he wants to kill time till his order.

And the last question, whom the person he wants to show his gratitude most is his mother. He was not the type of person who was strict to himself, so he feels grateful to his mom who was strict to him. :)

This has been my favorite too! I love how Akiko was so surprised to find out when he said he watched all the final group's skate, and has been doing so since he came up internationally. She kept saying it's unheard of! :laugh: I guess usually people will be too mentally distracted to have watched others performance, but not Shoma, he just said, I have nothing else to do and was kind of bored, so...:biggrin:

:otopic: Sometimes I am really jealous of the gamers, like I always wonder "how the hell did they press the buttons and patterns so damn quickly?" I can't even remember the tricks when I used to play video games! I just randomly pressed the button and just hoped that my character will do some kick-A moves!
