Sorry to be late. I still have a hard time to come back!
About Shoma's schedule, shoma goes back to Japan on 19th and practice for Worlds and come back to Korea again (for exhibition).
Shoma just has kept surprising me. I love to watch Olympics and sports since I was a child and know so many athletes, but Shoma is totally out of my understanding!
What's certain is his biggest enemy is sleepiness. He was almost to close his eyes during his interview at Japan Olympic house and caused smile and laugh of the people there (video :

He is so funny. The question is whom he wants to hung the medal, but his reply is he has no one. He doesnt think he wants to treat it carefully and says please touch this when you want to do so. He will entrust his family with the way to preserve.
And he had to appear around TV shows and have a medal ceremony...

At the interview right after the competition, shoma was said he would have the medal ceremony and he replied back "Is there a medal ceremony from now?" He didnt know the schedule! His way of speaking is so adorable.
And he watched all the performances of final group, he was calm and calculated scores and knew if he would skate clean, he could get 1st.
But he failed at the first loop, and laugh popped out suddenly and he thought, "Do my best" "Concentrate on myself". Since then, he got settled. Anyway, he stayed calm, so he could hear cheer voices and so on very well.
His body fatigued and couldnt move well, but he had practised in that situation, so he could do as he had practised.
He is satisfied with his performance although it was not perfect. He could do what he could do at that time.
he is so funny. Where was the tension of Olympics final group which overwhelm skaters? Usually skaters get so nervous and try to heighten concentration and avoid the influence of others. But he watched the previous performances in detail.
In another interview, he says its his custom since he started competing in big world competitions (when he turned senior?). The reason is simply watching performances is spectacle and to kill time!!!
He had no special attachment to Olympics till the end. For him, Olympics is just one of his competitions and his eyes are towards Worlds. He watched Yuzu and Javi's performances this time and realized what he lacked (the hight of jumps), so he want to improve for Worlds.
He says "I looked hanyu sensyu (his joy, his tears, right after the competition) thinking "For hanyu sensyu, Olympics must be a special competition. But I had no special feelings with Olympics. "
But he seems to realize it is Olympic as he appeared TV shows and interviews one after another. He took Silver at last Worlds, but the impact of Olympics is totally different from Worlds.
So many lovely and funny statements and behaviours captured Japanese girls hearts in one day. Skate fans knew his characters, but others didnt. But media exposure of Olympics is totally different from other competitions and he gets to be known nationwide.
