I knew we could depend on you deedee! I remember just out of curiosity looking up how many people Saitama holds (more than 30,000). And I would have to think that for figure skating a huge percentage of that audience is female. Oh dear - recipe for disaster!![]()
Thanks. This only happens when I attend figure skating competitions. Never baseball, never rugby for women in my country. Thus making a plan is important; some strategy you know.
One of the reasons is as you said female is the majority of audience in this sport. Another is because we all know shortage in numbers of toilets is the problem, we get too anxious about it and many of middle aged to old women try to go there more often than usual/in actual need of whenever there's a chance as a precaution... I tend to do so myself tbh.
: Makes lines for toilets even worse. My secret recipe to avoid a disaster: When attending, I go straight to our seats first, check the view to the rink, either complain or get excited about it. Then I leave my hubby alone there, go and look for the nearest restrooms (plan A) and count how many, then look for the second nearest restrooms (bigger sometimes) and count (plan B). Back to my seat and make my plan, carefully weighing its distance, capacity and my own running ability/speed. When the fifth skater finishes his/her performance, I slowly move to an empty seat which the closest to the door/gate and watch the last skater of the group. Once the performance is over I simply DASH to the targeted restrooms. If I'd stay until the score comes up
I may get in a big trouble. My two cents: No high heels. Never imagine how desperate/terrible you may look to those whom you're passing by.
Don't forget to remind your husband/friend to write down the score and interim placement of the last skater.
So Arriba what about Worlds in Japan. I am seriously thinking about attending.
Thanks deedee! I will have to really think about going to Worlds. I don't mind waiting a bit but not Zamboni time.Loved your Depends comment!
OMG Please PLEASE come over to Japan, my sister! I don't decided yet if my husband and I will be going to the Worlds, since Japan has Rugby World Cup scheduled next year, then Tokyo Olympic Games after. However, it'll be really great if we could meet up somewhere during the event.
