I'm going to say the quality that made me a fan of Shoma's: his intense fighting spirit. I love how he almost always attacks everything with that certain determination. Even when he skates to very gentle music, there's always that burning intensity there in the way in which he performs (and I really adore the contrast this presents when Shoma skates to gentle music). He just doesn't give up, no matter what happens. Such determination is extremely admirable in my opinion. I had to experience it in person in order for me to really understand it, but once I saw Shoma's fighting spirit for myself, I knew I had to become his fan...
This was a close second to my pick! I almost picked it, hahaha. The first competition I have ever followed Shoma in after the 2018 Olympics was the 2018 Worlds and his Turandot there still makes me really emotional because he was fighting so hard until the very last second of that program. I think his fighting spirit and determination is even more impressive when I remember the roller coaster of the last few years... It's probably easier to attack when he was younger and had nothing to lose, but Shoma showed that even when everything looked so bleak and so dark in his career, he's able to not just come back, but also show that he can still fight as hard as he can for every single point.
I can't come up with the words to describe it better at the moment, but I also agree with everything everyone else said, lol.
