Thank you for sharing your story @Arriba627 ! Hehe, no worries about the banner. We got the first one signed back in The Hague in 2020! You really did have a nice moment with Shoma there- I wonder if he remembered you from Chicago! Safe trip home!!!

Yes, he was good about signing things at the Challengers. Also Hama-san took control of the autograph situation at times, so he would say "We have to leave for the airport now" or similar, so then Sho wasn't the bad guy! I guess it's not easy having a lot of fans.

Look at the one above with the guy from the Japanese Embassy. That's the fake smile. His lower lip is tight and he sorta wrinkles his nose. I've seen that "smile" frequently.

We disagree...At Skate Canada (in 2022?) during photo time, one of the camera men told Sho "Smile! You won the gold medal." He said, "This IS my smile." Look again! I sympathize with him, I HATE having my picture taken.

BTW did we ever hear why there was a picture of a refrigerator in that batch of photos? At first I thought I was mistaken, but it IS a refrigerator! It was taken at the restaurant Chez Joe, the hamburger restaurant. I guess Joe needed a new refrigerator.

Shoma is back in Japan for OPOI practice! I guess him, Marin and Koshiro landed from Switzerland and just hit the ice immediately... busy month.

There are most likely a lot of very interesting things still to come. Anna, who does the "The Future of Figure Skating" podcast, was there. Also met Verit, the amazing photographer from Russia. I was so happy I got to tell her how much I loved the Sho calendar I bought from her...Anyway, looking forward to Anna's thoughts and Verit's photos. Saw Verit's remark on X that she had a hamburger at Chez Joe and said it was really good.

Yes! Verit was there for AGOEs with a couple more people (maybe also Anna because she writes for them?). Anna is a huge Stephane fan so I think she'll write something

I loved, loved, loved Inside Skating's coverage for Stephane's last ice show "Ice Legends" in 2016 so I'm really happy Florentina was there.
