I'm so happy for Shun that he put two really complete programs (at this early stage) back to back and stayed focused after waiting to go last.

I can't watch the NHK Trophy yet but I'm happy to see that Shun Sato was second, at only two points from the first, who's been, say, historically scored "more leniently" than Shun Sato. Congratulation! And also, for this so good qualification for the Grand Prix Final!

Shun was fabulous in both SP and FS! He won the FS but second overall. Glad to see an increase in his PC’s, about time. Congrats to him for making the GPF!

On the NHK Replay thread, Sisinka cut and posted this slowdown of Shun Sato's Short Program Quadruple Lutz at the NHK Trophy, which got a q call:

It didn't seem to lack a whole quarter of a turn, but the angle not being very favourable, I checked on the Men's Short Program slow motion of this jump, at 1:25:47, and indeed, while the jump wasn't fully rotated, it was clearly lacking less than a quarter of a turn:

I hope that he won't endure such wrong calls at the Grand Prix Final... and/or later.
