Nikolai Morozov & his lovely daughter AnnaBelle, skating to Silent Night & Santa Clause Is Coming to Town at Christmas on Ice in Yokohama, Dec 21-24: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYeHuyYv5ZA

First time for me to see Nikolai actually skates a program in front of audience, but such lovely and great unison throughout ; sbs 1A and dance lifts, especially at 4:35! What a performer she already is at age 13. Amazing also that she can become a single skater and ice dancer: either way, she does have a great future as a skater. :)

Thanks for sharing deedee. That was indeed a lovely skate by Nikolai Morozov and his daughter. It showed me a side of Nikolai I haven't seen before. I love how AnnaBelle sings along with the music. And their heartfelt hug in the end had me a little teary because I was reminded of my father who loved hugging his children. Whether in appreciation or consolation, his hugs showed us how much he loved us, and I think AnnaBelle also had the feeling from her father at the end of their skate.

This was aired today.
From the 7 minute mark, you can see behind the scenes footage of the Japanese skaters warming up.
Featuring Wakaba's toe socks, Shoma putting on his skates, Mura's warm up. Rika the long distance runner, Satoko the flexible, Kanako heavily taping her skates, Hanyu's many training and warm-up apparatus.

Then, more of what happened after Machida announced his retirement. Never before seen footage.
I'll post the next videos as they come up.
EDIT:
Here is the next part.

Featuring: Suzuki Jun. After being away from figure skating for 2 years due to college entrance exams, he's back with an 11th place finish.
Ishikawa Shoko's last performance at Japan Nationals.
Fumie Suguri retires and her performance at MOI. She will be trying her hand at Choreography next.
Kanako talks about under-rotations and how she will fix them.

Just watched a re-run of Japan Nationals...and this time, they showed the whole of the Men's Medal Ceremony. Some interesting points:
kozuka got the loudest cheer.
Shoma remembered to shake Hanyu's hand...well, Hanyu had his hand stuck out early on so he wouldn't forget.
There are a lot of 'things' the medalists have to juggle.
There's the Championship Trophy (for Hanyu) then, the Medal, flowers, small trophy and a certificate.
Hanyu nearly dropped his flowers. :)

As of Aug 2014 (but I can't swear that ISU has not revised the minimums since then):

Thank you, Am I right to think that the Read (Any other Ice Dance team from Japan) have the following competition to reach minimun TES score:
January 15–18 Reykjavík International Other int. Reykjavík, Iceland
January 15–18 Minsk Trophy Other int. Minsk, Belarus
January 16 Medal Winners Open Other int. Senior M/L Tokyo, Japan
January 20–24 Skate Helena Other int. Belgrade, Serbia
February 4–8 Winter Universiade Other int. Senior All Antequera, Spain
February 6–8 Jegvirag Cup Other int. Miskolc, Hungary
February 9–15 Four Continents Champ ISU Champ. Senior All Seoul, South Korea
February 11–15 Bavarian Open Other int. Oberstdorf, Germany
February 11–15 Nordics Other int. Stavanger, Norway

Off the top of my head, my two comments are:
- Medal Winners Open does not include ice dance.
- Four Continents has its own TES minimums, which Muramoto/Noguchi have met. I don't know whether you had any other non-Reed dancers in mind??

Interesting thought of the day: The more I watch Keiji Tanaka's FS, the more I like his skating.
Is it just me? Or do others think that he has great potential IF he can manage to land more triples and a quad in his program?
Maybe he can be a late bloomer and surprise us all like Machida.

I think at least a couple of people have said he has a 'mature' quality to his presence and IA. Hopefully he can have a break through:cheer:
