Lolz...I was referring to the Tano marathon we've seen this season.

Oh, you had me in a panic... I was already starting to develop an elaborate video idea in my head and hoped it would be somewhat original...

Tano'matron coming soon... and by soon, I mean in a couple hours at the earliest.

Haven't been feeling particularly inspired lately to make videos, so I am scrolling back through requests and pushing through to put something new together. Hopefully I am doing Max fans justice with this one from 2015 U.S. Nationals:

I have been thinking Liza’s tano is much, much better than others’, but I think I was wrong.　I think hers’ is better but not that “much, much better”.
Still, I like hers’ most, maybe because she does it only once in a program, and it maximize “wow-effect” of tano.

Excellent job done! What editing program do you use? Your editing skills are really good. As I'm watching it, I feel like I'm reading through a lengthy saga.

I thought Liza's tano could be a good comparison with the juniors, but I don't see much differences among them.
Perhaps, Adam Rippon's tano can be unmatched in terms of quality in the current crop.

Wow Sam-Skwantch, the last moment of your remix basically confirmed that Hanyu hits his huge 3A with little skid and hardly any pre-rotation. And he hits off the 3A-1R-3S running with the 1R being done nicely as a full hop without looking like a step out. Impressed. He does deserve his huge GOEs for the axel jumps and the 3 jump combo for sure.

I try. Always easier to edit/curate videos when you're inspired, but we all have different skaters that motivate us.

Thanks all! I use Sony Vegas for all the videos posted in this topic (as does Sam, I believe). We are both still learning along the way. Tano'marathon-a-matron has definitely been one of my more complex projects so far. I try to attempt weaving a bit of a story with most of the videos I've edited here, but there's generally only so much you can do with skating videos and music. Adding a bit of a narrative was a cool experiment to the 'tano vid. I guess I suffer from the same affliction as Sam, too much time spent analyzing and perfecting things while editing... I am definitely an amateur, though.

Other times, I just go straight for cheap laughs (shameless plug) like my 2015 4CC - K&C Moments to Remember.

LOL on the music choice for the Tano'marathon-a-matron.

I actually like Liza's Tanos much more than Evgenia's or Serafima's. Part of it is what another poster mentioned--not using it on so many jumps, but it's also her arm position. Still my favorite 'Tano is the original, Brian himself!

Thanks so much! The video is only in 480p and not the best, but I could make something work with it. Not quite up to my quality standards but I haven't seen any better video from this event (plus a chance to play with the pan/crop function of my editing tool):

Unfortunately, my Tano'marathon-a-matron hasn't received any dislikes yet, only 'likes'. Is it because the 'tano is catching on, or is it because many of my videos are ambiguous in their intent? :think:
