Small moments in choreography that you like

Lately I have understood, that while sometimes it's the big elements that make me love the program, such as quads, a clean 3A by a ladies skater - other times it can be a really small choreographical element that I play over and over again and which makes the program really great for me.

For example:

In the Shibs Fix You FD the moment Alex runs his hand through his hair, while the music plays "stuck in reverse".
In Lena Radionovas Titanic FP the moment she puts her hand in front of her and then twirls with her hands by the side of her head.
In the beginning of Evgenia Medvedeva FP the moment she smiles and takes her hands away from her ears as if she's finally really hearing the music. :)

These moments seem really small, but somehow I still love them, sometimes even more than jumps or spins. Do you have any favourite moments in choreography that you really like? I'm curious as to which are the small moments in different programs you have grown to love.

Delobel & Schoenfelder - In their "Carnival" program - the moments when they're using their gloves as masks.

There are plenty of little nice moves that I like, but to say about the latest season, Hongo and Miyahara's programs come first to mind.

Among Rika Hongo's Riverdance choreographed by Kenji Miyamoto, this little hopping and then spreading her arms wide open in the later of the program really makes me smile. The choreographic move not only captures well essences of Irish dance in my opinion, but also arises excitements so that the spectators can engage in Rika's energetic and cheeful performance. The program based on Riverdance is so well choreographed, so I like hers the most among any program based on the musical.

Although Miyahara has been heavily criticized for her jumps, her musiciality and fluidity backed up with solid SS are top-notch. I like this continuous choreographic moves with her smile also make me rewind the portion of the program over and over. Her SP program "Firedance" is also from Riverdance and is choreographed by Tom Dickson.

I have considered creating "Best programs using props nicely" as thinking of their program. :)

Love both  you mentioned their names and these were the moves I had to think of

Also from last season, Alex getting slapped and the look on Maia's face

Daisuke Takahashi - La Strada (the entire choreography from 2:18 to 3:03)

Yuzuru Hanyu - Romeo + Juliet (the Ina Bauer which is placed spontaneously, in a less predictable part of the program)

Yuzuru Hanyu - Seimei (the famous cross rolls and his powerful gaze + the entire choreographic sequence at the end)

Shoma Uno - The Blessed Spirits (the way he turns his head while doing the spreadeagle into the 2A and the way he's raising his arms on the exit)

Kanako Murakami - Violin Muse (the part where she brings her right arm to her chest)

Satoko Miyahara - Miss Saigon (the part with the lyrics and the arabesque spiral on the music change)

Satoko Miyahara - Firedance (the 2A into the final spin - the way she still waves her arms flamenco-style in the middle of her camel spin)

There are a lot more I'm not remembering right now, but I love these.

Two of my favourite Joshua moments: the sudden stop and flick downwards in his Give Me Love SP, and the beautiful skid spiral as part of the magical ChSq in Schindler's List. Now please excuse me while I go weep some more.

I thought the moment of Max's second quad in the Black Swan free skate was particularly good, because it was designed to give him a moment to ride the quad out, and he always had that happy smile on his face whenever he landed it. And then of course there's always the unchoreographed moment when the Gladiator was slain!

Another is Jason's bow-and-arrow Ina Bauer from the Tristan et Iseult free skate. It's subtle, but effective. I also thought the "Oh no! I've been shot!" moment coming out of the spin was effective too. Shame about the sound effects.

Artur had truckloads of fun choreographic moments. This quirky bit from The Bolt and the fabulous dancy moments from St Louis Blues are two of my favourites.

I love a couple of moments in Ashley's Hip Hip Chin Chin programme - the brow wiping "phew" gesture just after the step sequence and the index finger up towards the judges as if to say "watch this!" just before the solo triple. Fun and quirky...

Never liked the program itself (Meditation de Thais is already owned by another pair team IMO) but always thought that this simple move done by Shen & Zhao is pretty cool.
Though I usually find Morozov programs a bit tacky, the farewell piece he choreographed for Pang & Tong was just perfect and the spiral where he releases her is absolutely breathtaking.

Not so little, but Shibs twizzles this year were awesome and weren't a simple technical element because they were beautifully put in the choreography! Amazing work
In Caro's Bolero, I like the moment in the steps when she turn to the judges and smile with passion with her left arm that accompanies her movement and the music.
Mao's end of the Camel Spin in Rach program, a change of music and expression, beautiful.
Sui/Han final pose of Samson and Delilah! Just amazing and in crescendo, as the music.
Caro's spiral in her Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune :luv17:
Mao's "stationary steps" during her I got rhythm SP.
Akiko Suzuki's so fast final steps in her Kill Bill SP, and her so lovely final of POTO
Gracie's start move of her POTO that are then redone during the Step Sequence.
Javi rolling the dice
Patrick's transition into the lutz in his Elegie SP. Just so on the music (I have to say, that SP for me is a masterpiece and his most beautiful, well choreographed and intricated program)

So many small exacting touches in Rohene's choreo for Jason, many mentioned here, but my favorite ....

*before* that amazing step sequence in Riverdance, Jason stands at the end of the rink, swirls his arms to the audience, and poses as if starting a race, "watch this, you're gonna see something great"

And you do.

Fun topic!
This year for me it was in Sui and Han's Sampson and Delilah long. There's a moment where she does a lunge and passes under his legs. All those spectacular throws and lifts, and this was my wow! moment for this program. At about 1:25 here:

Yulia Lipnitskaya Schindler's List FP turning on one foot

A fan once took the whole SL program and put it into a sequence of pictures starting top left to bottom right in order as they progressively appear in the program. I think this fits the concept of the thread because it's cool to see those little choreographed moments like that. Well at least to me it is :)

Does anyone else know if anyone has done anything like this for other skater's programs? I'd like to see more and especially someone like Mao.
