Former Russian and Swiss figure skater Anna Ovcharova, who is now writing scripts, said that she dreams of making a film about figure skating.
– Would you like to make a film about figure skating?
– Very much. I would like to tell some real story related to figure skating. Because I haven't liked any figure skating movies yet.
– What do you think are the moments in figure skating worthy of a film adaptation?
– Coaching path. Relationships between people. It's very unusual world, it is small and everything is a little aggravated there. Both benefactors and human vices are visible several times more clearly than in an ordinary society. And the stakes are high, and time is short.
I was extremely struck by one situation when I was flying with Eteri Georgievna from Tokyo to Moscow after the Grand Prix final. We flew for about ten hours. And Eteri Georgievna is afraid to fly. I sat next to her and became a little hostage to this fear.
Before that, everyone told me that she was strict, unpleasant, did not greet anyone, and so on. And I was afraid of her because of this. But we got into such a conversation with her! I started solving Sudoku, and she taught me how to play this game in 15 minutes. I understood why she is such a successful coach. She has an amazing teaching talent. She explained everything to me so clearly! Although I usually study such things for a very long time.
Then I discovered that she is a very interesting person with a very unusual fate. She told me stories from her life. And then I started telling her my stories. I realized that she is a very pleasant conversationalist.
She listened to my stories with exactly the same interest as I listened to hers. When I found out that she is afraid of flying and how hard every flight is given to her, I immediately realized how mentally strong she is. It seems to me that if I was so afraid of something, I would never have decided to do it.
– So Eteri Tutberidze is one of those coaches about whom you would like to make a film?
– Well, her prototype would definitely be one of the characters, because this is a great person. Like other personalities in figure skating – " Ovcharova said.

Mark and Arseny will be at Moscow cup this week also. The coaches are really spread thin.
