Did you get a chance to see him skate at U.S. Nationals? What are your thoughts?

The short program was great. Very mature concept and choreography, excellent body control, plus the opening 3Lz+3T was spot on. I think we have a winner!

I like his posture! Good upper back.

There is a lot to like, and also a lot to improve upon. One area that needs work is maintaining speed and centering on the spins as he transitions to the variations required to snare levels. The camel catchfoot is not a great position.

He reminds me a bit of Jason Brown when he was younger in terms of the musical connection, although he lacks the control Jason had even back then.

The good news is that he has time, and he's starting from an excellent base. He's that kind of skater who will be almost unrecognizable in two years because he'll be so much better.

I was reminded of Jason Brown, too, with respect to upper body carriage.

Always a joy to read about up and coming skaters. Sure, there's much to improve upon, but the programmes are still well worth a watch!

Lovely skater, you can tell that he is paying attention to nuance and expression in his choreography. Learning the backstory to the short program, and his relationship to skaters lost in the airplane crash, made the program even more affecting.

And of course admiring Jason Brown never hurts in my book.

Lorenzo still has a lot of things to improve on his craft, the great thing with him is his passion and commitment to attain his goals. He is very motivated to learn and grow.

I took notice of him at Nats. So many things to like about him at this point and I look forward to his growth as a skater. I hope he can make it to Jr Worlds next year.

He does have nice posture and presence.
He will need speed and to tighten his air position if he wants to acquire the big jumps needed to contend internationally.
I will happily watch him develop.
