Victoria Sinitsina - Nikita Katsalapov: "We have a common goal towards which we are moving"

- Guys, what difficulties you faced in preparing for the new season?
Nikita : "Training" began with the fact that two days after the World Cup in Boston, I was operated on his shoulder. The operation was done in America. Prophesies 6-7 months of recovery, perhaps even more, because doctors discovered a problem not only in the joint, I was ripped off and even muscle. Operation was successfully completed. And I was even able to do support ahead of time that doctors predicted. Yet still I am under expert supervision. I recommend undergo rehabilitation, and, looking ahead, I will say that I will be restored in Moscow.
- All this time, Victoria trained one?
Victoria: Yes, I trained one. Nikita cut music, sitting behind a side of the headphones. He did it with one hand, because after the operation the shoulder ached. But we planned programs, drawings, invented new elements, and as far as possible, I tried to show something on the ice.

- Nikita, when you went out on the ice?
Nikita: At first, the main challenge for me was to tie shoelaces. And all I could do just to ride around, his knees developed to legs were in good shape. Work began on the ice two months after surgery. And the doctors warned that the fall is impossible, it can lead to a relapse. The full force began work only a month ago, however, we had to do two new programs that will show at the box office. During the time that I did not skate, we and our coaches had a very great job. Typed information, were engaged in programs, we talked about the details. I was present at every training session. So that the contours of the new programs have already submitted.
- What kind of program, who chose the music?
Nikita: Music for the first part of the short program we offered Marina Zueva - Blues Duke Ellington. Already on the first draft, it was obvious that the style we really are. This was said and Marina. And we ourselves blues liked. Then began to search for the second part - the swing. I searched through the entire Internet and found the song Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett «If It Is not Got That Swing ». Since during this time I learned to compose great music, we tried various options, and eventually put in a small piece of the album of the performers in the first part. The result was very juicy and nice composition.
- A free dance?
Victoria Dance - tango. By this we walked for a long time, because we wanted to take a tango in the last year. I love this style. It seemed to us that we are willing to try new this season. We reviewed a lot of video, recruited dance moves, dancing themselves, in fact the whole summer spent on this preparatory work. And when began to staged, it was much easier, because they knew what to do, how we are going to move it to be real tango.
Nikita: And the music - it is very rare compositions by Astor Piazzolla.
- Due to the fact that Nikita has to be under constant medical supervision, whether your plans changed?
Nikita: After control of rentals we stay to train in Moscow. We will prepare the house to the Russian championship, so I took a full course of rehabilitation on the shoulder. This decision was taken on September 5, together with our Russian Figure Skating Federation.
Victoria will be ready with a specialist in Moscow Oleg Volkov under the supervision of our coach Marina Zueva and her assistants. On Marina, we are constantly in touch. We communicate by Skype, the Internet. We send her our video training, she makes remarks, he said that the need to correct.
Nikita : We know for a long time With Oleg Volkov. I trained with him when riding in a group of Alexander Zhulin. Oleg - a good technician. I think the three of us we will find a common language on this period of time.
- What has changed in your relationship with your partner? Greenhouses say that the pair held, should be three years.
Nikita: So it turns out. I know Vic, she did. We tried to look for the positive in everything, to enjoy our work, what we do. In short, we will move forward.
