It is ISU-sanctioned, but not an ISU event itself. So the record unfortunately for Medvedeva doesn't count towards the "highest scores".
But she's got a whole another season to get going on an "official" new one. She'll probably make it official on her first GP event.

She had insanely high TES scores at this event and there is plenty of room above her PCS to get bigger scores next season since she was a few points behind what Yuna and Adelina got in the Sochi LP. If she can keep her jumps over the summer she may very well break the total score record next season. The SP record will be tough unless she can land a (real) lutz in the short.

Yes, scary to realize she hasn't even maxed out the PCS yet. She is so consistent it's unbelievable. Out of all the Russian wondergirls she just might be the one to have real longevity. Let's hope she makes it to 2018.

Tsurskaya just needs to ditch Eteri's choreographies and work on her PCS
She's fourteen and will have to stay in Juniors anyway. I like Eteri's choreography for her, Polina's already looking very mature. She doesn't need an expensive choreographer now. Better save the money for her Senior debut!

No chance as far as I'm concerned. Tsurskaya has jumps but she is completely lacking in the expression and musical understanding departments where Medvedeva has excelled for a long time, in fact that was Medvedeva's strongest aspect when she was Tsurskaya's age.
I'd say that Nugumanova goes to the Radionova category(Peak isn't world champion level unless others make mistakes) whereas I don't have that much hope for Fedichkina regarding her consistency and technical skill but perhaps she'll impress me. As far as I'm concerned, the only Russian girls able to reach Medvedeva's level would be Anastasia Gubanova(if she keeps on improving and cleans up her tech) and Julia Lipnitskaya(If she reaches a new peak).
Proklova would be placed even ahead of Radionova currently but I guess her injury is career-ending so we just need to look back at her 2014 Russian Nationals FS and think about what could have been.

It is too early to talk about Nugumanova at this stage, but she is a real angel in my eyes.
I think Lozko is the one to watch next season, who is also from Mishin's group. As for Gubanova and Julia, I am not so sure about their abilities & future development.

Polina's future is unclear. She herself is worried admitting that she is 173 already. And her parents are tall. If she is going to make it past 175 her skating life will be quite challenging. Although watching tall girls doing big jumps is such a treat!
Eteri's choreo are fine.
Polina is just one of several Russian kids with the potential to be the next Medvedeva, but it's not easy to replicate her success of the last two seasons, because of the puberty, the competition among this girls in Russia,...
Last year Serafima Sakhanovich was on par with Medvedeva, and to be honest i liked Fima more at that time (artistically she had an edge), but then she started to train the 4S and she got injured losing all the confidence.

Well Evan Lysacek was a giant himself, I'd like to be optimistic about Polina's future, if she could keep her jumps as she grows taller and get more polished movement she would just be stunning to watch on ice. Right now when I look at her jumps it seems like she only taps the ice gently to just fly so I hope adjustment won't be so hard on her.
Holy smokes! She's already 173? Where did you hear that from? I don't think I've seen a female skater taller than Joshi Helgesson recently who is listed as 171.
I do have a feeling she might reach 180 when done growing. :eekn:

Woah. I'm 174cm, and I passed Polina by on the street in Barcelona and was actually surprised that she was shorter than I expected. She was definitely not as tall as I am from what I could see. Of course she might not have been walking completely straight, and it was just a short moment... but then she really grew a lot over the rest of the season.
I'm still optimistic though. Her jumps are HUGE.

She is only 160 cm. She looked much taller than she actually was!
