It will be Asada or Kim I think. Flip a coin. That is not to say there are not other real possibilities, I just think those are the 2 most likely.

I think it's too early to tell, because we're only in the first year of this Olympic cycle. Example - who could have guessed back in 2003 that the next Olympic Champion would be Shizuka? Or foreseen the health struggles Michelle (okay, more an injury problem for her) and Irina? Or that Sasha would change coaches twice more.
Now, who I hope will win is another matter.....

Either Mao, Mirai, Yuna, Miki, Kostner, Kimmie, Zhang, or any other junior skaters who haven't been well known yet.

Among them, I feel that Mirai has a great, great potential for challenging Mao. Mirai already has almost everything needed to compete at the top level in senior. She has great speed; her jumps are effortless; and her spins are excellent even as a senior skater. Further, she has great flexibility; and her ballet background is so wonderful to watch. She also seems to be practicing 3A. Has she landed it?? Has she had 3-3 yet??? I am so much looking forward to seeing her this season
