2025-2026 South Korean Figure Skating

Not having people wait at 4am in the Korean winter certainly seems like a win, though as a foreigner ticket websites are sometimes tricky.

I’m planning to align my trip to one of these two competitions, do you recommend one over the other? Seems Presidents Cup might be easier to get good seats and offer an opportunity to see the same skaters. Thank you!
I'm only hoping for tickets so far, and the KSU is still going to be the KSU so I'm not that optimistic. Expect free entrance, but since this is Mokdong with limited judges' side seats if you refuse to be freezing outside waiting at 4 am you might have to sit across or on the side.

While Ranking and Nationals mostly have the same skaters competing (and thus the competition for the seats is equally fierce) the entry lists are yet to come out, and the schedule for Nationals is undecided because they chose a Sat-Tue schedule instead of the normal Thu-Sun schedule so we don't know when the domestic seniors (the skaters foreign fans will know and recognize are in this category) are going to skate. So I recommend you to choose the time period (Ranking is in late November and definitely going to be less cold) for you to pick which competition to go to, the entry lists don't come out until the week before the competition begins.

Sounds good, thank you. I’ll keep an eye for tickets and otherwise join at 4am for sure haha

KSU has finally released dates for the Ranking Competition and Nationals, dates are updated in the OP as well.

- Ranking Competition: 11.27-30
- Nationals: 1.3-6
Thanks! I will be back from a Mexican cruise Nov 15th and off to an Hawaii cruise Jan. 7th. Would love to see the Ranking comp and Nats. Hope we still have ways of seeing these comps...love them.

@Ichatdelune I fully trust you that the President’s cup will be at Mokdong instead of Uijeongbu, but can you share where you found that out? I couldn’t find any sort of location or daily schedule (just the overall days) on the KSU website/ social. Thanks you.

Team Korea JGPF
- Women: Kim Yujae, Kim Yuseong
- Men: Seo Minkyu, Choi Habin

My girl Seojin (who I was praying for despite the odds) stands as second alternate. I'm torn on whether she should move up with the twins or not, maybe she should go the Minchae route and do half-and-half, but then Minchae was 16 while Seojin will be 18... I mean it's not up to me to decide what trajectory her career is going to take but I will forever be melancholic if she never gets to go to JGPF

It has been reported that Minsol has been released, as of such her news will not be posted on this thread but the Canadian FS thread by the posters there. I have accepted this although I did have to go through the 5 stages of grief, I will watch and enjoy her skating no matter what but I will always be a bit sad I fear

hugs. you will be okay... I still think of lim and quan as Canadians yet I am happy they represent Korea and doing well for Korea. Let's hope Minsol does well for Canada and she will always be Korean and I hope Korean fans will still cheer for her the way Canadian fans cheer for Lim and Quan

:ghug: I do want to see her again so can't be sad, but I do sort of wish she could have stayed with Korea.
