Yulia Lipnitskaya

I wasn't sure she could partecipate because of her injury, but this is a farce. And I'm also speechless that Adelina is partecipating like this.
If TAT or someone else at CSKA asked Adelina to say that, do you think she would say no? I never thought she would be fit for Worlds, let alone Euros.

I'm appalled they asked her. Besides, why speak no? At least play the farce a little longer. It's just makes her look bad. I mean really bad. The two ladies have said nothing so it's easy for them.

She did say she will be ready for Euro?

No she didn't. She said that she will like to be ready and try. TheN of course Lakernik&Co. came out with their comments as if she was ready.

Voronova cut too - 3rd retaliation by Eteri from the Federation. The Federation feels unpunished. I think, in vain.

I don't like this conspiracy talk... I think the gap between Yulia and the top 4 girls is a point or two too large, but the gap makes sense when you first first consider Yulia and Leonova... Leonova didn't really get boosted and I personally don't think Yulia should be scored ahead of Leonova. Yulia performed about on pare with her TEB and GPF outings, yet Liza, Elena, and Pogorilaya really did perform better than they ever have this season.

On Evgenia ... well if you forget Liza, she sits exactly between Radionova and Pogorilaya and I for the most part agree with that... she's a junior so I don't think it's something big that she's put behind Liza... I love her program(I find backloading the jumps makes it exciting) more than Liza's and Elena's, but look in that thread and you had people complaining about how it was structured.

As far as Voronov and Kovtun goes, this is nothing new...

I feel bad for sounding like a conspiracy theorist but does anyone think this was solely directed towards Yulia. I mean the comments didn't mention Anna or Alena only Yulia, putting even more pressure on her and even when she holds on through the SP, the judges drop her PCS while inflating the others. It seems very short-sighted. Why would you try to drag down the reigning European champion, the Olympic medalist, World Silver Medalist and the # 1 ranked skater in the World. Granted Yulia gave away some points but why put even more pressure on her.

I hope she just relaxes and skates her best tomorrow and hopefully she'll be on the podium.

I think Leonova should have been boosted too, though. There shouldn't be an 8-point gap between 1 and 6 right now. It looks really bad.

No it is not personal. Rus Fed just has other goals in mind. And no, they didn't drop her PCS, they just didn't inflate it like for a few others. If Yulia starts to skate well again later, Rus Fed will start backing her again.

Isabel and Alba
I wouldn't call it a 'conspiracy' but it's clear that there was sth going on behind the scenes that aimed against Yulia prior to and during this.
What I would love to know is if Adelina participated knowingly or if the Fed just used her for their own greediness and proposes again.
Because you are right Alba, this makes her look very, very bad and if she was in on sth or not, it was a stupid move to make her announcement today....

Yulia looked SO over it in the K&C. And the pic she posted on Instagram right after the SP today http://instagram.com/p/xEzgOxkLRo/ just suits the impression.
Why can't it just be easy for her once huh? First the injuries two seasons ago then the crazy Olympic season and know this... :/

I didn't call it a conspiracy either. I simply said that there is something going on, besides Yulia vs Adelina thing which is fake apparently. Maybe funding issues, and a message to Eteri wouldn't hurt as well? I also think Yulia and Serafima, and yes Alena too, were low balled in PCS. I'm sorry but as I already explained, I will never agree with some of the PCS given, TES or no TES.
Maybe this is because she didn't have a good season so they are making sure she will not have a chance to go to Euros or Worlds. Even if she has a good clean skate tomorrow, because she ain't going to close that huge gap, no matter what. As for Leonova, she was never the favorite as adelia said.

I'm not going to jump into conclusions here but what happened is really bad. I blame the adults.

That suits my feelings too.

I want Yulia to go out there and skate the LP like it's the last time... Attack, project, perform. A clean skate would be great, but even if that doesn't happen, I hope she fights for every point.

I think she was a little muted in the SP, and her skating wasn't as fluid or expressive as it could be. While I don't agree with the gap, I think the judges maybe picked up on those things, and received an "excuse" to score her as they did.

(As a side note, I think Elena and Liza also toned down their performances compared to GPF, but they are usually so extroverted and over-the-top that toned down might actually work better for them).

 yes, I hope that she will not care about all the score anymore. Just attack like there is no tomorrow. Like a type of revenge.

Well, she doesn't need to be angry, because that wouldn't fit the program. But... determined. Yes, I hope to see her determined.

Do you find that surprising? Many people have compared Russian Nationals for the ladies as being The Hunger Games. I would have expected to see more fire in their performances. Then again, I suppose for the two top girls going into Nationals, it's expected they will land at the top... so they just do what they've been doing all season and let fate take it's course.

The rest of the pack of ladies, though, I would definitely expect to see a lot of fight, not to mention a boatload of pressure.

No, I don't find it surprising. I think it's to be expected. They are all very nervous, and know that one mistake could cost them multiple placements. So I can see why they'd perform less and concentrate more on the elements. Less fire could cost you a few PCS (and probably did cost Yulia some), but if she'd fallen on her combination things would be a lot worse.

Liza is injured, so she had to tone down a bit. Elena was perhaps slightly nervous given her fall in the GPF.
