Yulia Lipnitskaya

Thankyou Alexz!! :thank:

Oh the FEELS!!! It is so wonderful to hear that Yulia is being treated by other parents as if she were one of their own :luv17:....and as the unofficially, newly adopted member of the Urmanov family. :ghug:

Dear TPTB, we need videos of a bungy-jumping Yulia and a Yulia vs. Deniss spin-off ASAP!
Edit: Also adding a Yulia vs. Deniss sketch-off/art-contest to the list as well. ;)

Same! That made me smile. Great to hear that Yulia is happy in her new training environment.

Bungee jumping...hmm, interesting. I really want to see that now

That's a great pic! I wonder who's the young lady with Yulia?

I remember coming across her instagram posts during TEB! She's a fan who travelled from Paris to Bordeaux after or on the day of the short program (since the SP was on a working/school day) to watch/cheer on Yulia in person for the LP and EX, and to hopefully meet Yulia and give her a gift. Unfortunately we all know what followed......*all events cancelled due to the events in Paris* Fortunately she was able to meet Yulia outside her hotel as the Russian skaters were leaving via bus for Barcelona, and was able to give her the gift and take this photo.

I'll put one more highlight from the interview not mentioned in the translation :)
Being asked whether Julia's mum comes to Sochi to see Yulia, Urmanov replies that from time to time Yulia flies to Moscow. She has spent there a week being with her mum recently. Mum's alwaya waiting for her at home, and so on and so forth...but as for the present, he supposes, the most important thing for Yulia is her professional skills. So, figure skating is her top priority now.
As for me, these words are like the sweetest music to my ears. There've been rough times for her and for us, fans, but as for now, hopefully it's all gone. Julia's concentrated on training, it means she has all chances for regaining the positions she used to hold before :yay:

I think Urmanov is the first person in Russian figure skating, who expressed very strongly how important has been Julia for development of figure skating in her country. That she's a huge part of latest baby-boom in skating schools and overall rasing interest.
Yes, some people were talking about "Lipnitskaya brand" before, federation showed her much respect and help with her transition to Sochi as well, but nobody emphasized her role in that area as clearly as Urmanov.
To be honest, I was waiting longingly for those words of appreciation, she just deserves them so much. :)

Good to know yulia is much happier now. She is full of smile in her photo:hap10:
I think sochi is a good place for her to rest ,hope to see her coming back in competition.

Thank you very much! :thank:

It's indeed very good to know that Yulia is enjoying Sochi so much, both the training and spending time with her new skating friends, and still having the opportunity to visit her mother on a regular basis. Hopefully, she'll finally be able to rest psychologically!

Anyone care to translate Yulia's recent ask answers?

Nothing new recently, mainly just Orthodox Easter greetings and well wishes from fans. Only one cheeky question with a cheekier answer....make of it what you will...(as per Google Translate)
Q: Yuille, blink his right eye, if you have already started the productions of programs, we will not tell anyone :)
A: *posts an existing photo of herself blinking with the left eye* Left

So we're still left wondering who's choreographing and/or choreographed her new programs....:handw:

I'm so pumped to see how this goes. She's worked with some of the greatest choreographers of our time and this should prove to be a great experience. I hope he can find that unique spirit that she possesses and find a way to bring it out for all to see. Most importantly it should give yet another dimension to her skating.
