More and more, I'm feeling this is my favorite FS of the season. A popped Lutz and the fall on the sal, but still a masterful job. Looks like there are some choreo changes too perhaps to inspire him to skate bigger. I am liking this!

Though he didn't have a good free skate at Worlds, he will bounce back. He probably was stressed at making sure Japan got its Olympic spots. Virtual hugs for him.

I want to send my virtual hugs to him too... I'm really hoping Yuma can take some time to unwind after all the pressure he must have had this season, not just for securing Olympic spots but also for being the top men's skater in Japan...

It appears that Yuma Kagiyama will be skating to a cover of Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" by Hayato Sumino and Marcin for his short program next season! Hayato will also be creating an original composition for Yuma's exhibition program.

I wonder why he's not using Werther for his short program... could he possibly be reworking it into a free skate?

I totally agree! I finally got around to watching it today and it's a perfect fit for Yuma! Any doubts I had about him choosing it as a short program are gone!!!

Oh my gosh, Turandot for his FS with Lori Nichol choreo!!!! I can think of several other Japanese skaters who have done quite well with Turandot at the Olys! Can't wait to see this. I think it suits him, and I like the contrast with the fun vibe for the SP and a more serious FS.
