Yuma Kagiyama

Hey does anyone know the rink that Yuma trains at? I want to write him a letter.
He trains at the Chukyo University rink, the same rink where Shoma and Sota train. I'm not sure if the university accepts mail for skaters, though. I have sent mail to the Japan Skating Federation headquarters whenever I have felt the need to send mail to skaters. I'll edit this post with the appropriate address. I really do hope Yuma is able to rest and heal up. 🙏

Edit: I believe the address in English is as follows:

Yuma Kagiyama c/o Japan Skating Federation
Japan Sport Olympic Square
4-2 Kasumigaoka-machi
Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo-to
160-0013 Japan

Hey thank you! Do you think he’ll get the letter soon when it arrives at this address? I don’t even know if Yuma speaks English.

I don't think Yuma speaks English very well, I remember reading somewhere that he wanted to learn it and Chinese. It would probably be best to send the letter in Japanese. 😅

The JSF explicitly says on their website that they can't guarantee that letters to skaters arrive by a specific date (Christmas, birthdays, etc.). I know I have attempted to send letters to a certain skater before certain dates and I used expensive priority shipping to try and reduce this uncertainty. 😂 Unfortunately I have no idea if this worked or not (though I am aware that the JSF received my letters), since the skater in question didn't send a response to my letters (but they're too famous to expect them to send a response anyway...).

More information about sending letters to skaters (as well as the original Japanese address) can be found on the bottom of this FAQ page.

According to the article linked in the tweet, Yuma is planning on keeping both of his programs from this season. I also hope he will be back next season, he really is magical.

I'm glad to hear that, those programs deserve to be seen at major competitions.

Let's hope Yuma will be healthy and ready for the next season. Yuma's (and Yuzuru's and Nathan's) absence made this season far less enjoyable for me.
