Yuzuru sighting in German airport from tumblr (no picture)

He was with his mother and BOrser.
I love getting/hearing about Yuzu's real life snippets!! Seat 25A... that doesn't sound like business class seating? So technically people could be lucky enough to be seated next to him on a plane! What would I say to him if I ever find myself sitting next to him... I think I'd just faint from excitement and too much happiness haha~

An interview with Matsuoka Shuzo-san aired Tuesday....http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2c5tqr_141209報ステ_sport
It took place after the NHK free (not sure why it's only being broadcast now; for the GPF?) He is brutally honest here IMHO and I think was definitely showing a side that we rarely see. Lots of revelation into what was going on in his head at the time when we were all so worried and speculation flew around like crazy. A hard interview to watch but at the same time it gave me so much hope about his future, both as a skater and as a person.
I am totally inept to translate this but it is definitely worth a watch I think.
This is a most valuable live interview to watch about Yuzu’s story in first half of this season (it was interviewed the next day of NHK Trophy but was broadcast till 9th December). He told about the impact of accident of CoC and his struggles to compete at NHK Trophy.
The last part impressed me most. (Video played from 07:15) And I made brief translation as following:
Speaking of his going out and competing at NHK Trophy, Yuzu said it’s about pride himself of course and there was pressure (competing rather than withdraw) on him without doubt.
However, before he considered those things, the more important thing was he found an issue ahead him and NHK Trophy gave him a chance to try to overcome. He regarded it as a lucky thing.
At last, he used three times of “God telling me” to present his mindset in different phases.
“When the accident of CoC happened, it was God telling me to take a rest.“
“If I did not qualify to GPF, it was God telling me to take more rest and prepare for Japan Nationals until late of December.”
“Now I can go to GPF, it is God telling me to overcome the challenges ahead me.”

the ticket says "DUS - BCN" and from Düsseldorf it takes only like 2 hours to get to Barcelona. So I guess that's a lapse of time one could survive in something not-business-classGermanwings is a budget airline, and I don't think they have a true business class (they are similar to Southwest Airlines in the USA). But that is something I've often wondered about with skaters...obviously a small handful are wealthy enough to fly business all the time, the rest I guess just have to rack up enough frequent flyer miles.![]()

Yuzuru never fails to amaze me!![]()
I think it's very unusual for a skater to skip an official practice session... I would expect Yuzuru to be there. Every competition we've been to, where Yuzuru was competing - he was at all of the official practices.I suppose there is no way of knowing if Yuzuru will actually be there? Or is it customary for all men to practice on the ice every single day at a competition?
Most of Japanese people doesn't have religion but some of them believe that praying and or believing leads to happiness and I think what Yuzuru means by God is not the Christian's God, might be what Buddhist believe since he went to the shrine before.
I thought Yuzuru isn't Christian or Catholic? Or am I missing something here
I'm glad that he has such a positive attitude. It would have been really hard for other people to keep such a positive attitude after all that he's been through this season. Maybe that's why he's so successful?
, except extreme ones.If he is a typical Japanese in the meaning of religion (like me), when he says Kami-sama (the God), I don't think he means Christ, Buddha, or any other particular god in Shinto. It is just something supernatural beyond human understanding, maybe the great nature (?). It is difficult to explain. Anyway, there are over 8 million gods in Shinto, so, never mind. This may be the reason why Japanese are not so strict on the religions. All gods are welcomed here, except extreme ones.

I believe he has explained that particular ritual, as nothing religious. Rather, it's a kind of "skaters mantra" - where he is drawing his core, body lines etc - the things he needs to pay attention to, for proper alignment/balance/jumps etc.I have been always curious about this….a lot of time when Yuzu takes the ice in competition, he does a Namaskara Mudra (a Buddha hand gesture for praying ), and then he does a cross over his body.
He can win this with proper training and his normal mindset, or at least his last year mindset. Can he win this with his current form... I don't know. I can't tell. It seems both Yuzuru and Brian have already prepared that he might not be 100% there. I hope for the best but I think Yuzuru's fans should prepare beforehand. So I guess ANA doesn't fly to Barcelona then?! :-/
We'll be flying out there tomorrow, can't wait. Of course Yuzuru is one of our favourites, and will be one of the (many, many) skaters we'll be cheering for... and I personally believe he can actually win it.
(Look at the scores he got at CoC and NHK while severly injured and out of practice - if he's in better condition than that now... his scores could be dramatically higher...!)

I read the article in here since many people said it was a good one despite the nature of these kinds of magazines. It was an interview of Brain.
(A Rough, partial summary)
=================
-Answering to the question "why did Yuzuru fascinate people even when he fell 5 times?", Brian said his passion for FS really makes his skating special. Brian himself is fascinated with Yuzu.
-Brian doesn't think he has a special skill to coach and produce OG champions. Yuzu is very talented to begin with and he already had developed his talent with the help of his Japanese coaches, trainers, his family and various other people before coming to CC. He just made sure for Yuzu to be in a right environment where he could further improve what he already has.
-Some parts discuss how they trained Yuzu so far (I think you guys already know, for example Yuzu’s basic SS practice at CC.) When Brian told Yuzu how important that skill is, he immediately agreed and said that he would work on that over times. That suppleness is his virtue, Brian said.
-Brian thinks Yuzu’s progress in technical aspect led him to mental maturity. Also having Javier, who has a very different personality helped Yuzu to loosen up a bit.
-They (Brian and Yuzu) have their goal set to win the next Olympic gold.
-Yuzu has recovered and been training now, so Brian expects him to give the performances everyone has been waiting for. But they want us to understand that the GPF is a pass point, so even if he does not do well there, he hopes that we won’t worry too much but consider him being in the process of his evolution.
-Brian wants Yuzu to improve his English further. He knows when Yuzu responds with his “Yeah”, that is the sign that he did not understand what he said (because Yuzu repeats the same mistake after that), so when Yuzu says “Yeah”, he calls him and explains more.
-He also wants Yuzu to learn to say “No”. After Sochi, many people wanted to be associated with Yuzu, to have business with him and since he is nice, Yuzu tried to deal with all of them. Sometimes it interfered his training. If he wants to win in Pyeongchang, he has to learn to say “No” and set enough time aside for himself.
-He wants Yuzu to enjoy being a star and to win the gold again. He thinks Yuzu can do it and he is ready to support him with all he can do.
