Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I've heard something about sprained muscles, maybe ankle, not sure though. (It's about Mura, guys, not Yuzu!)

Poor guy. Was this the reason he did so badly during the SP?

I swear they should provide the info about skaters' health together with info about agem coach and music so that viewers would have some frame of reference. Anna Pogorilaya, Sergei Voronov both skated with injuries, Yuzu with a unhealed sprain, Elena Radionova with a fever...

I like the idea because it would help the crowd but I think there are always reasons they don't. I mean I think it might be because if they did say they had an injury earlier they might have been replaced just to prevent it from getting worse or to get a healthy skater to come up, moreso with the less highly ranked skaters (I mean by placement) skaters and countries with really strong skaters. And some I think have the really strong urge to go like for some of them it would be their first worlds like Elena, and Sergei, and they might not want to be replaced or withdraw. Even if its a light injury I think for some of them wouldn't want to give too much info in case they were replaced maybe not with Yuzu as much as some others though. Like I'm pretty sure Yuzu tried to hide his injury in Worlds 2012 just so he could skate in his first worlds, I'm not sure how late the injury was but sure he could have withdrawn during the competition or be replaced. Sure it would be great if we knew the situation before hand so we would be able to judge accordingly but I think there are sometimes reasons they don't feel they should or don't want to say. But either way I really hope Mura and all the others get better though, though we might not approve of their actions all the time regarding their health

OMG, is he ok? this was at worlds?

Per a post of FSUniverse's rosewood as to a Japanese article:
This article says Mura overworked on quads after finishing 4CC and he sprained his BOTH ankles. It also says he did not take any break to recover from the injuries and as the result he had to struggle with the injuries for longer time than expected at first. Mura's comment after SP: "I'll do my best till the very end, it's for Machida who said "I entrust you" to me as well. "

I hope that if Takahito has fully recovered, he can participate and have a redemptive skate at WTT.

For Yuzuru, I think he will do well at WTT going by Brian Orser's statement that all Yuzuru needs is a couple of weeks. Moreover, I expect Yuzuru will be fired up to prove that he is still the best skater. ;)

If I remember correctly Yuzuru hurt himself furing the short programat worlds, and that was the reason he single his combo. He decided not to withdraw from FS only.

Yeah I remembered that too but I forgot if it was in the warm up or practice at worlds. I'm not saying that he should have withdrawn or not I'm just saying it's possible. I can't remember exactly who it was but I'm pretty sure there have been skaters have withdrawn from the FS due to injuries and sickness too but I think in that situation he probably had that urge to compete (not just because yuzu's like that a lot) but the fact it was such a big competition such as the worlds and that it was his first. And that's the reason they probably hid it just in case just so he could compete, because I'm pretty sure people might have suggested for him to withdraw. And I think that's the same for the other skaters, who maybe don't always want to reveal everything to the public whether it's a cold or an injury because of a variety of reasons (personal or not) and though it might not be feel nice for the viewers to feel oblivious to the situation I think sometimes people have to respect (although the viewers might not agree with) it if it is their own decision and I think that's for a lot of sports not just fs.
