There are so many music pieces named "Requiem", and it is hardly possible to identify it, or it might be brand new, I don't know.

But, if you read the texts of Requiem Mass, I think it reminds us of the disaster of 3.11.2011, especially the part "Libera me".

The EX this time might be supposed to be a Requiem for the devastated area including his home town. Please note that this is just my assumption.

A Requiem Mass arrangement including Pie Jesu, perhaps? This piece is so beautiful and suits Yuzu's Ex style. I'd probably cry watching him skate to it... Could he have given this Ex program an original name (Heaven & Earth Requiem) like he did with SEIMEI?

Thanks matmuh for the link. It is not a song right, unlike his music for his two previous exhibitions relating to the earthquake? In any case I find the music beautiful and sad. Yuzuru is staying true to his word that he wants people to remember the victims of 3.11 when they see him skate. He will not let them forget.

Thanks matmuh for the link. It is not a song right, unlike his music for his two previous exhibitions relating to the earthquake? In any case I find the music beautiful and sad. Yuzuru is staying true to his word that he wants people to remember the victims of 3.11 when they see him skate. He will not let them forget.

But then again the choreographer always presents the music choices to the skater and I think the skater would usually have a choice in selecting music right? So I guess maybe Yuzuru really does like warhorses because if he didn't then wouldn't he just choose another piece of music when his choreographer presents him with a potential piece of music to skate to?

I feel the choreographer only presented him with warhorse music. If he didn't like one warhorse, the alternative was another warhorse. He could only pick the warhorse music he liked better (relatively speaking). But if he could choose any music he likes, he would not have chosen either warhorse (other than poto). He didn't seem to connect with either ndp or Rj2, whereas for the music he chose for himself, e.g. Seimei or poto, he connected with the music right away.

Thanks matmuh. Times like this I wish he has program notes for his exhibition like what Tatsuki did for his (Tatsuki's) exhibition "The Inheritor." A program entitled "Requiem of Heaven and Earth" to my mind calls for that. And maybe some words too about his costume won't be amiss. . But seriously, I am looking forward to seeing his exhibition. I am guessing it is Kenji who choreographed this. (If Nanami, I would even be happier.)

No wonder he cried at the end of the performance. Such a powerful choice and emotional EX it has to be... I really can hardly wait for the video.

You know, as much as I like really loud music that involves guitars and drums and crazy people making all sorts of weird noises. But the piano was my first love. And sometimes I remember why.

This is very casual way for boys or men to call themselves in Japanese.
