Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Apparently this only confirms that all those articles from gossip magazines did state the obvious fact, Yuzuru's training schedule was thrown out of the window thanks to all those ice shows and events he couldn't refuse. :disapp: mah... but what's done is done.

I don't even hope for some decent scores now.

Please cheer up Meoima! I thought I am the type who tends to overworry, but you seem to worry even more than I do. :) I always prepare for the worst (when my expectation is zero, I can take any hit easily) but I never give up wishing (even dreaming) for the best!

I actually feel upbeat after reading this interview. I trust Brian's assessement of the whole thing from CoC, and I trust what he says about how ready Yuzu is:

"Now I think he is back on track. He seems to be well trained. He has gained his confidence back."

What else can we expect from Yuzu at this point? That's sure good enough for me. :)

Nah, I am still angry that some people and even JSF has taken him for granted. :hopelessness:

I have faith that he will recover his sense and improve consistency but I can't tell if that time will be in this GPF. Let's hope he will be fine. I don't expect him to deliver 100% of his ability at this moment. I only hope that he will smile truthfully from his heart tomorrow, not those forced smiles lately.

I tend to overworry too. And it's for good reasons so I can avoid disappointment. Though that can lead me to have high anxiety and stomach cramps.

Hey! I've been lurking here for a few months so I finally decided to introduce myself. I'm Gigi and I only started following Men's since I stumbled upon Yuzuru's free skate from 2012 back in late 2013 (Idk how I went from watching Midori Ito to watching Yuzuru but stranger things have happen) and I have to say I have never ever been fascinated by men skater ever since not even Plushy (love ya bby but you're second).

My favorite fs from him was R&J from 2012 but I also liked the other one because of that ina bauer  but I like Notre Dame a lot too surprisingly even though the later two doesn't compare to the fs from 2012 something about the determination and fighting spirit in Yuzuru makes every program look beautiful. I love POTO more than the last two because it's so dramatic I really hope he can skate it with full potential this season. My favorite short program would be PW, it was so much fun and he made everything look so easy! I also loved Etude as well.

I barely can tell jumps apart though besides triple axel my specialty ;) but when it comes to figure skating I always get astonished and emotionally attached to the beauty of it and even if my favorites fall I still love the beauty they put into their work. I fell in love with Yuzuru mainly because of his artistry heck I didn't even notice his jumps until someone pointed it out to me. I get lost in his performances even with falls he still looks beautiful to me I don't why I'm like that with every skater I get attached to it just happens.

I do love his humble personality and his sportsmanship as well, and I'm getting really anxious about him this season (I get worried before every comp with him lol) and I really do hope he rocks GPF or at least reaches the podium. I will support him forever and I hope he's healthy. I will try to post here because I really love this thread but school is just crazy atm (finals ugh) and this is like the longest essay ever ohmygawd.

I'm really praying for him in the GPF. :hopelessness:

Sorry, probably a mistranslation on my part, in Dutch we would say black chocolate tea, but in fact it's black tea, chocolate, so black tea with dark chocolate chips in it. It's my fave drink. :-) I don't know if I'm going to see the practice today, I still have a long list of other shops I want to visit (yes, including another tea shop, grin).

I enjoyed seeing the men a lot yesterday, but one thing: please Yuzuru, never stop wearing your gorgeous flashy costumes. Because honestly, all those guys dressed in black at the training was a bit... Too black. I think Yuzu's outfit had a white line on there somewhere, but I am used to seeing him skate in pretty colors! It was a bit strange, hehe.

Thanks, I have found “Organic Chocolate Spice Tea” on Amazon. Seems like almost the same tea as you say. I will buy and try it anyway.
Yes, I already miss his new wild-colorful POTO costume. In my eyes He looks a little bit thinner than the last season though, still would look great in it.
Have a good time in Barcelona and enjoy watching them live ;)

Welcome :)

Nah, I am still angry that some people and even JSF has taken him for granted. :hopelessness:

They took him for granted and used him. I certainly hope he takes Orser's advice and says "NO" to the JSF after this season is over. He needs to spend most of his summer in Toronto rather than doing one obligation after another in Japan. Also, please skate gods, for GP series next season, please send Yuzu to SA or SC. We need more of him in N. America! :cheer:

Thanks to all those who are posting reports and videos from Barcelona. I agree that Yuzu looks very thin, more so than usual. I hope he has the physical strength to perform two strong programs.

Alright, I'm ready for this! Good thing is I don't have to stay up this time to watch him skate live. I hope to see him go out there with guns blazing! Give me that fierceness you once had, Yuzuru. I know you still have it in you! :cheer:

Haha, that is a cute picture. *nods*
I guess I may go to the practices today... But have no internet access there, unfortunately.
