Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Fanart!! My sister drew this. http://fav.me/d8amcfg
My siblings surpass me in sheer quality of their artwork. Sorry, I know this is a Hanyu fan thread and I'm a fan of Hanyu; but also a major fan of my sibling's artwork. heheh.

:jaw:That is gorgeous!! Is she a professional artist? Wow, its breathtakingly beautiful

Edit: Its so hard to keep up with this thread  One minute we're talking about someones personality, the next school, then raw eggs (lol), then FS, then back to eggs with some other topics in-between; all in a matter of hours :hijacked:

You are too kind. Maybe in the future she will choose to be a professional. She's quite young still so she hasn't decided. She just takes the occasional commission.
She also did this portrait of Yuzuru earlier this year. http://fav.me/d7kg2tg

My various siblings all have different styles of art but she has the most technically accurate one. :o:

EDIT: On the other topic, it is normal to live with one's parents until marriage or even after marriage in Japan.

this is totally irrelevant with the current topics of the discussion, but i would just like to say that i have been yuzu-obsessed since japanese nationals earlier this year. almost a year straight. and my interest in him has not faltered. does this make me insane or just really interested in the fabulous and heart-wrenching man that is hanyu yuzuru-san?

also does anyone have the schedule for japanese nationals for 2015? thanks and please don't kill me for going off topic.

Apparently this thread has many linguistic talents who can speak/write more than two languages :drama: I am so jealous of you.
and now I know that Yuzuru is getting better at English, impressive

I don't know if this is true, but my friend has just told me, from this magazine's latest interview with Yuzuru: http://www.shufu.co.jp/magazine/woman/
Yuzuru said something like he hoped that he would want to have a cellphone as Christmas gift. My friend said from this interview, he wanted a cellphone to get in touch with his friends because apparently he only had ipod. I mean seriously what about the Samsung galaxy he had received at Sochi? He hasn't had a cellphone until now????????????

I'm sure there are plenty of fresh chickens in Canada just like here in the US. As another poster pointed out, we are told eating raw egg is a no-no because of the bacteria present before cooking. We are warned not to eat any batter containing raw egg (cookies, cakes) due to the possibility of getting sick. I think this is why so many of us cringe when thinking of eating raw egg over rice. Yuck!

Here in Japan, I eat raw eggs over so many things, mostly rice dishes. But I think technically they are not truly raw, just undercooked, as the heat from the dish (usually rice or noodles) gently cooks the egg. Back in the states, I often used to drink a raw egg before working out. Never got sick.

That's what it says in the page from your link. But it's a gossip magazine so...I don't know if it is reliable?

I thought he had a cellphone?? If not, that's really... For someone who trains in a foreign country and whose English needs improvement, it's troublesome for him not to have one, I would think.

Edit: But even if he doesn't have one now, I don't think he'll have to worry for much longer. With his popularity, I'd be surprised if fangirls didn't give him one for Christmas
