Talking about braces, I like his face pre-braces more because his face is more round (See him at jr. world 2010). I think braces make his face to be too thin.

I think it's just growing up he loses some baby fat on his face. I don't think his teeth have changed much, only the two front teeth. It couldn't make your face change from being chubby to thin. Not to mention he lossing weight due to exhaustion before the surgery. My friend was also the same.
I also have braces so I know. people will only notice the change on your teeth when you smile.

Yuzu had braces behind his teeth back in 2012. You can see them partially in a portrait in his 2013 calendar. His two front teeth protruded just a bit when he was a junior skater, which reminded me of a cute little bunny

Days ago a poster on the 4CC thread joked that Han Yan looked like a chipmunk (with his front teeth). So there is one more reason for this ship….just imagine bunny & chipmunk showing off their front teeth together….how cute is that.
