Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Welp, it's kind of late to let it out, but I just have to say that this is getting SO FRUSTRATING to see disparate statements between BOrser and JSF on Yuzu's health and his healing progress. Honestly, I don't understand what's so hard about grasping facts about him. They are in charge of taking care of skaters including Yuzu, aren't they? What exactly is so challenging for them to know what has happened to their skater and tell it to media? I believe it's their job?

Nice observation! I certainly hope that it's the case! Go yuzuru!
He placed in 4th at NHK when he had 16 years and he did a quad. I found this video from NHK 2010.

It's amazing like this 3A.

Since Worlds 2012 in any competition Yuzuru was on the podium. But NHK 2014 came after that horrible collision.
He did so many beautiful performances and outstanding quads even if he had health issues. I am sure he will do his best at Worlds.
Go Yuzuru!

If you don't like speculation please don't read the following:hopelessness:

Probably JSF wants to keep Yuzu in Japan to protect him (from Isis). It seems, JSF has been hiding Yuzu's whereabouts since January......maybe this is overreaction, but it's better than no reaction. Somehow I feel relieved now.
FYI, Japan's table tennis association now also stops sending athletes abroad.

When I reviewed Yuzu competition results here, he is very consistent.
Look at the positive progression of the results from junior to senior :points:

At senior level: out of 28 competitions, he podiumed 21 times --> 75% podium rate

From 2012 onwards: out of 18 competitions, he podiumed 16 times --> 89% podium rate, either gotten 1st or 2nd. The 2 competitions which he did not medal, he finished 4th and this was because of injury/illness (Worlds 2013 and NHK 2014).

Even when he is not 100% healthy he is able to podium (Worlds2012, GPF/Nationals 2014). Imagine what he can achieve if he is 100% healthy or fully recovered..........300 :cheer2:

Are you referring to this article: http://www.sankei.com/smp/sports/news/150223/spo1502230050-s.html
I use Google Translate so I'm not sure about the credibility of it.

Maybe in this case JSF and other Sport Federation just want to take precautions.

Wow!!! That's a strong competitive resume!! I wouldn't have noticed how much he progressed, not only in terms of his skating abilities but also in terms of podium rate and ranking!

Wait, what? ISIS is targeting a figure skater? Oh come on. That's the most absurd news I read today.

On a sidenote, it might be that Hanyu's injury is pretty serious, much more so than has been reported.

Oh my!! that's really a bit too scary to be true! Let's not let terrorism invade this forum please!!
Hope jsf would update us asap regarding yuzuru's condition now...

I just saw that Shanghai has started to make ads for the coming world's and this made me really feel that yuzuru really doesn't have a lot of time left to condition himself properly for world's !!

No, they don't target him, people say ISIS just release a list of famous Japanese singers/idols to target. So I guess in this case JSF only want to take some precautions for their athletes, and this seems to apply for all the sport federations in Japan, it's not just JSF alone.

Please:hopelessness:there is no crisis. I just want to say that it's good to know that JSF decides to have some new security measures for Yuzu...

indeed, only 4 weeks are left, I hope we will have some news from him this week...

 3 posts on Yuzu's consistency and 8 posts on terror...m. I wish we talk more about that statistic which shows Yuzu's tremendous progression of podium results and consistency becoz I don't get it when people said he is not consistent.

Here is the 2015 World Figure Skating Championships Trailer.....I believed all Yuzu's fans would recognised the feet/skate of the person who jump without even seeing the face :yay:
