Remember people, this is "good" news. He is alive. He is going to worlds and he will give his best.

Go watch pictures of thath... breath... realx... not enough take a valium and look for professional help... try yoga...

thanks golden for the article, its great to hear from orser about yuzuru
LoL at Ms. Smith's description of Yuzuru as "mosquito-waisted"! I'm not sure if it is more flattering than being described as wasp-waisted?...
i laughed it hard too, i thought i was the only one who found it funny :laugh2:

sure it can keep our minds away from yuzuru but its not gonna help us relax

From the Elisaveta's triple A thread:
Post is dated March 6, 2015

Thank you for sharing. Brian Orser's statement, "I guess when I get there [Shanghai], I’ll see" pretty much says it all.

Lols!! this description of yuzu's waist also struck me!! I'm sure there are similar animals or objects to compare with yuzu's waist than mosquitoes :drama:

A toothpick or pencil sounds much better than mosquito please!! (mosquito has to be my least favourite animal:biggrin: )

I just realized that this is the third time that Orser goes against JSF this season:laugh2:
Yesterday Ms. Kobayashi said she didn't want to talk about Yuzu's training content, and today Orser's interview comes out saying that Yuzu's 4s4t3lz are fine. I believe it's just coincidence, but I found it amusing. I hope Ms. Kobayashi isn't mad at Orser:biggrin:

Well MS. Kobayashi not wanting to talk about Yuzuru training could have been understand in two ways

1. He is not doing well
2. He is doing well despite injuiry and she don't want to put pressure and expectations on him because of that

plus article was published the same day as ms kobayashi's interview so brian may not know their policy or reason not to reveal details because he gave the interview earlier than 18th

3. JSF doesn't want injured Yuzu to train alone by himself after abdominal surgery ( which would be a very smart option )..

1) Orser might have given he interview before 18th
2) Orser admitted he hasn't met Yuzuru so everything he said has been from Yuzuru.
3) We all know we should not entirely trust Yuzuru when he himself says he is fine. :hopelessness:

No matter what, I am a bit tired of the inconsistent PR policy between JSF and Brian Orser. Could they just communicate before speaking to public?

Yuzuru definition of fine or don't worry :drama:

Of course I'm nervous because when Yuzuru says "I'm fine" we all know his "fine" means "from 100% down to 50% or even just 10%" of his health. :hopelessness:

I'm not going to overthink of what JSF said or what Orser said as these are out of our control. Let's do something which is within our control....channel positive thoughts and well wishes to Yuzuru :cheer::cheer2:

Yuzuru is almost certain to compete at World's, even if he is not fully fit or prepared. He is a fighter.

And as always - no matter what his condition - he will benefit from everyone's good wishes, support, and positive thinking. Worry and negative thoughts do not help anyone.

ITA. And we should all know the drill by now. :) Go Yuzuru!

Quotes from Orser, hot off the press:

Where is Yuzu? How is Yuzu?

Thank you, golden411. Thank you. Thank you.

I find it refreshing that Orser is always honest in his interviews. He gives his own perspective, but his interviews tell his position or the world as he can see it honestly. In this case, I am glad that Orser is out of step with Federation policy. Kudos to Orser.

Although correspondence is a broken form of communication, and what may be actually the case with Yuzuru might not be certain, let us remember as Worlds approach that even with the body not necessarily being well, it is the spirit that carries Yuzuru and that his spirit never waivers. If his skating is off, it will be his body not his spirit, and, regardless, he will give all he has in body and spirit. If he is to experience defeat, it will not be the first time that he has had to look at it in the face, but he defies it by staring at it straight and doing his best (like at NHK and CoC). He draws on everything within him. Every competitive skate. I wish him well, to be his best, and I know he will be his best as best he can be. We never have to ask for that. He just gives it. He gets my applause, on or off the podium. "Mosquitoe-waisted" as the Sendai Samurai may be, he is truly one of the great ones and he makes the sport richer through his presence.

Though I think I understand what some people are saying I think people should be careful cause I don't think that the Federation policy was some how something bad or wrong. They might have just had a different thinking of not exposing too much of Yuzu's current condition with quads and stuff just in case it raises too many expectations again. I'm not saying at all that Orser was doing something wrong at all in fact I'm glad I got this update, but he just has a different view of how to approach this situation in comparison to the federation. But I don't think we should make it seem that the federation is some evil force that is doing some injustice. Also, communication between the two parties is probably not easy as people try to make it out to be.

I agree.

It’s the best way indeed.
As always, 80% of me try to think positive most of things about him for sure, but my bad, 20% of me still can’t stop to worry, as a fan, I can’t help
Although I usually keep those words only in my mind and am willing to send my positive energy to him
