Lol I love how Javi said, "We can't forget about Nam!" Though actually this is Nam's 2ND senior worlds appearance. Last year he got 12th.

Isn't this the first season of senior competition for nam??? Sorry I'm so outdated.....
Over here weird costumes is seen as an integral part of figure skating.
My Mom is always harping about what she likes and dislikes about costumes and she noticed that Yuzuru "goes into the girl teritory" with his but she didn't say it like a bad thing. But then my Mom is a person who loved Florent Amodio's costume, thought Javi's vest needed glitter in order to be remotely interesting, and would have put Brezina in burgundy pants.OMG the Vertigo costume.
I'm assuming you're talking about the blue tank top over the white clingy shirt one? It's so confusing, like a little boy trying to look like a porn star but unable to give up his favorite blue color and rhinestones. Still very Yuzu but in a slightly different way.

Yes, I'm referring to the white clingy shirt one! That's too "interesting" to look at, sorry, I wasn't able to watch the program properly with that costume......
The funniest thing my parents said about Yuzu was that they thought he was a female at first.... LOLS!!!! (Since they only saw me watching yuzu from my laptop --> i didn't use full screen, so they're basically seeing yuzu from a very small screen, so all they could judge from was his costumes.... LOLS still....)

WOW, I've seen other pics from her, amazing quality.

Cool. So you are a skater? Do you compete? I just think it's interesting to know what other skaters think about Yuzuru's skating. My perception of him is really just based on observation as a spectator. I think most of us posting in this thread are non-skaters.
Hi gsyzf. Yes i used to be a competitive skater, when i was younger. I got up to senior silver level. I dont know if skate canada has these levels anymore (prelim, junior bronze, senior bronze, junior silver, senior silver, then gold level).
Now, i just enjoy watching competitive skating, and only skate for fun and of course, Yuzu is my favorite...

Well, according to ISU World Standings for Ladies, Kanako's ranking is still higher than Rika. For WTT, each country should select the top two ladies. If one of the top 2 doesn't go, there will be some fines and penalties.

Once again, great post and observations! I never even knew Yuzuru liked to massage his own cheeks to release tension, lol.
It's cool that you were a competitive skater before! The only relation I have to skating is that my brother used to play hockey (his team won the regional gold trophy, I don't know exactly what it's called) and nowadays we just skate for fun during winter.said it before, will say it again: sports bra!!
