Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

 @ 5:05 it looks like Yuzu said I'm from Spain, and Javi said I'm from Japan loll

It does look like so!! lols! The mc should really be careful with these kind of errors! (thank goodness javi and yuzu are great friends, otherwise something bad might happen....) --> remember last summer olympics (i think it's olympics), the organizer messed up n.korea and s.korea flag for the competitors and they ended up striking and don't play the game (if my memory's right, it's soccer), and the entire event delayed for hours before they pacify them!

Hanyu-san's ice show schedule for now:
5/29~5/31 FaOI in Makuhari (3 shows)
6/6~6/7 FaOI in Shizuoka (3 shows)
6/12~6/14 DOI in Shin Yokohama (4 shows)
6/26~6/28 FaOI in Kanazawa (3 shows)
7/4~7/5 FaOI in Kobe (3 shows)

that cast list was already incredible before  this is just the sweet, sweet cherry on top of the sundae of awesomeness
(and we totally need a plushy-mushy-revival here, I'm so counting on that)

And I was trying to find out who's going to be the live act. I think it's Sarah Alainn again in Kanazawa and Kobe, and in Makuhari and Shizuoka it's Che'Nelle, right? (muddling my way through lots of Japanese that means very little to me without google translator) I could totally live with her because it seems like she can actually sing (which is so much more than what you can say about that other dude from last year. I'm even too lazy to look up the name. You know who I mean.)

I hope you and your mom will have a great time staying in Japan!

Btw, as for the singer, the site says actually it’s シャネル Che’Nell whom going to be the live act for Makuhari.
haha, seems like she can sing so well.

About the dude, his name is Hiromi Go and I know what you meant!

Yes, this is what they said, lol! I like Yuzu's face and how everyone laughed when she said that Javier was from Japan.

I remember that incident, it was a feminine soccer game if I recall correctly. But considering how very tense the relationship is between the countries (and for so long!), the incident was big.

Hanyu-san's ice show schedule for now:

7/4~7/5 FaOI in Kobe (3 shows)
So, 16 shows for now, not small but far from big too. I hope that will be it... well, except if he's doing TOI, but that would be easy to understand.

I also hope you'll have a great tme with your mom, Pamina. :agree: Too bad camera are forbidden within the arena (though I can understand why), but we'll have the tv and, of course, the skaters who will do coverage. Johnny didn't disappoint on this, neither did Maria, Natalie and many other skaters.
Beside, let's not forget that Nam will be there too (for FaOI at least), so FULL Cricket Bro reunion. :cheer:

I'm happy Sarah is coming back for live. I really like her, a beautiful woman and artist, with a great voice. Ah, ok it was Hiromi Go the previous live act... well, no one remembered that name, so the impact was... yeah. XD

Karma, Pamina, karma. And you totally deserve this! Thrilled for you (and everyone else going to see Yuzuru at these shows)!

I see! I love their interaction there too, but I didn't really notice for what reason, until today (practically yesterday though) when I finally heard the mc say wrongly that Javi is from Japan LOLS!

Maybe she got blinded and became confused by the 'bling-blings' and charisma burning beside her from Yuzu, Javi and Ten (particularly yuzu )

Now that FaOI and DOI are confirmed, I really hope he does only these shows. 16 is already a lot. I mean compared to his competitors: Denis, Javi, Patrick. Jeff Buttle will be at some of the shows, so if Yuzuru uses him as a choreographer maybe they can get some work done for the coming season.

Wow Pamina - what a trip you will have traveling all the way to Japan for the show!

I've been aimlessly clicking around the isu scores and I've learnt that if Yuzuru had been able to skate at 2010 Vancuver Olympics and had got the score from Junior Worlds, he would have placed tenth there.

Thanks guys, I'm sure we're going to have a blast over there  I've been wanting to do this for years and I'm super excited

FaOI has an amazing cast and I love the kid to death, but I'd have to win the lottery more than once if I wanted to travel half way around the globe just for an ice show  it's just an extremely lucky coincidence that we're going to be in Tokyo that weekend. Because of course I was crazy enough to check the dates of all the big ice shows to see if there's anything I might be able to catch while we're there :p

I'm late to the party (as always) But have tons of fun and beautiful experiences  and tell us everything !!!!! ;)

I hope someone here has better memory than I do, but I seem to remember that there is going to be ice show this summer that is headlined by Mao and in Sendai? Does anyone know what it is? I have faint memory of people guessing whether or not he will attend. The fact it is in Sendai gives fans reasons to think so, but at the same time Mao is headlining it? Or am I totally getting things mixed up?

The Ice :) The Sendai show is in August, so if he's guesting, it won't be announced till much later in the summer. Its possible and hopefully he will be invited to be a guest...I miss seeing him in it :hopelessness:

Thanks for the quick reply! It's been a few years since he last did The Ice huh? That actually always looked a extremely fun-filled show! I just have a look at the schedule for that I will be okay if he does the Sendai one only, but not the July ones as well...:slink:

Ice network elected Jeff Buttle as the person of the year and at his interview there was a pharagraph where he talked about working with Yuzuru:

[ He approached me about skating to Chopin," Buttle said. "I went through Chopin's musical catalog and ultimately found ["Ballade No.1"]. It's not an unknown piece, but when I listened to it, I thought it almost comes in waves. I thought about [Hanyu] and how after the Olympics he was pulled in every direction, and I think the music was reflective of how he was so busy off the ice, but when he was on the ice, this was his place. It was very peaceful and mature." ]

Here for the complete article

He is doing Adam Rippon and Joshua Farris's free skates for next season. I'd love to see a Buttle choreographed free for Yuzuru but I have little faith that it will happen...
Hopefully they will work together for the SP again

You are mistaken.

At the top of the Buttle article (emphasis added):

Icenetwork will announce its choice for 2014-15 Person of the Year sometime in May. Here's one of the nominations for that honor by icenetwork contributor Amy Rosewater. ....

Oh, I just rushed through the beginning of the article. Thank you for the correction :agree:
