I wonder how they calculate the talent power?

congrats to yuzu anyway! (does talent power means star quality/ charisma? --> sorry i'm not very sure about this 'talent power')

Judging by who's on the list, probably refers to their selling power, TV rating draw-ins and so forth? :think:

'Talent' refers to performers, actors, models, idols etc. and I guess power ranking is how popular they are. So, Yuzu jumped a lot of spots from 2013 to 2014 because his popularity among Japan soared tremendously.

She did. I guess since she took the season off this year, she wasn't talked about a lot, other than the speculation whether she is coming back or not.

I still don't fully understand the method but I'll try to explain the basic idea. Nikkei entertainment does surveys in May, Aug, Nov and Feb to examine the degree of recognition and the degree of interest of about a thousand Japanese celebrities. If the person who takes the survey knows both name and face of the celebrity, this person can be recorded as 'know the celebrity'. As for the degree of interest, I don't know how to get the number. Anyway, I checked the chart and it seems that Yuzu's degree of recognition is ~90% and his degree of interest is 70-80%. Based on these two numbers they get the final score for each celebrity and then sort the scores to get the final rank

Lol, that's my composite image of his 4S! I think the software tried to stitch the frames as best as it could, but I think it overlapped the background where we see the missing legs and upper body. I'm going to play with it a bit more and maybe try making a composite of Yuzu's 3A-1L-3S.

Yes, you are correct. He was asked, if you were to become an animal, what animal would you choose and he replied, a cat because they are free and can do whatever they please and that he is inclined that way himself. He went on to say in the second part that instead of becoming like that, he may already be that way. When they show the pictures of the cats, the male narrator/commentator asks the question, "Does Yuzuru Hanyu also live a free life and do whatever he pleases at home like a cat?"
