Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I guess, from Japanese people’s point of view, he is a bit different from the standard or norm of being a hansome.
although many fans call him Katsukoii which means “cool” “good-looking” “handsome” “smart” “fashionable” etc…
Thank you for your explanation! :)

great news about shows being aired, and even greater that FaOI showing will be from 2 different shows
i am so happy to see CJH and yuzuru next to eachother, love both of them
here is the video of " best quad toeloop jumps " involving 6 skaters (dont know how accurate it is though, i am sure there are others as well like Javier :D) , watching the video i think Yuzuru's 4T is the best, shortest entry, great air position, soft landing (esp this year he is like feather (when he landed haha) ) and great flow , there is also link to a poll for us

There is no evidence saying he was not invited. But it was so widely known he was injured badly at WC 2013.

there's no evidence Yuzu was invited but WD because he was injured, he was simply not invited. He skated badly injured in Nice , as I wrote.

You can't just say he was not invited because you have no evidence saying that. Before the gala was confirmed, they of course might have asked all the skaters they wanted to invite, if skaters said NO, there is no need to add their name then wait for them to WD.

usually the skater justifies his WD. I think it's a question of education and respect too.

Yuzu of course did it at 2012 GPF.

Voted. My favourite one in the video is Yuzu's 4T at 2014 gpf sp. The most beautiful 4T I've ever seen is Yuzu's at 15 wtt sp:laugh:
I didn't know Joubert was such a good jumper:shocked:

And no, Javier is not as good as these 6. The blogger says it's a compilation of the best and most consistent quad toe jumpers of all time. Javier is not consistent at all.

Glad that he did not skate at the Worlds 2013 Gala and WTT 2013 or else he will further aggravate the injury.

Hanyu got the flu after 4cc and had a minor knee injury, sidelining him for 10 days out of the five weeks before worlds after 4CC.(

More news regarding Yuzu's knee injury. It could possibly be worse that we thought.

It says that after he was sidelined for 10 days by influenza, on March 6, he started feeling the pain in his knee. Afterwards, he couldn't attend the practices at the rink for one whole week. He had to skate through his SP while on painkillers as he bears the responsibility of securing the spots for the Japanese Team at Sochi Olympics. He is expected to undergo thorough examination in Japan after Worlds.

It's only to be expected that he skiped Gala and WTT, either ligament injury or avulsion fracture requireds at east 4 weeks for recovering, in his case, since the injury of his ankle has become kinda chronic, plus ligament injury of his knee, I think he'll take time off more than 4 weeks.

he isnt consistent yes, but to his defense he didnt miss his 4T this season, last year wasnt bad either, and i think his 4T is better than the ones in the video  :p

happy you're happy, this didn't change the fact he was not invited at Worlds Gala in Canada (despite he placed four), which was the question that started the conversation.:)

This compilatio of the best quads through the years shows the improvement of Yuzu's quad toe... He has always had a beautiful air position but he improved a lot the softness of the landing, quite impressive (especially at the gpf..) !

Right, he wasn't invited, because the organizers already knew about his injuries.

My apologies, not arguing just trying to find out whether there was any other reason

Only 25 people voted when you posted it, now 124 people voted....I'll be deadly honest, Yuzuru is the most popular skater of the moment  (I think "I'll be deadly honest" will be used a lot next season hahaha)
