I think Japanese media bothered to fly to Canada only to get his comment on Mao’s come back. It's no wonder they did so considering his popularity or the like. His image and comment deserves it ...It might be a bit excessive..

I think Japanese media bothered to fly to Canada only to get his comment on Mao’s come back. It's no wonder they did so considering his popularity or the like. His image and comment deserves it ...It might be a bit excessive.

Great observation, I was actually thinking about that too :shocked: ... it might be possible that they sent the camera crew to Toronto just to interview him. That must be a big investment to the TV broadcast station, right? (to fly to Canada from Japan every time they want to film Yuzuru training or ask for an interview)

By the way, he looks really good in the green/white/black sports shirt that's shown in the Tour de Tohoku tweet.

I get the feeling that he has a video crew with him for extended periods of time to capture his practices and comments to use in current news, or later in the season. I don't think they're there in Canada with him all the time but even this season for nationals the clips of him in the white jacket and hat talking about Tatsuki seem to have been taken during the summer while he was at the Cricket club. Maybe the crew was also in Canada to capture some of the new program Shae Lynn is choreographing for him and they'll use that footage during the summer once he announces his music or performs it in a show.

I think it looks great!!!! Ina Bauer is one of my favorite things to see a skater perform. It just allows the skater a chance to really breath and give a program a bit of life.

It sounds like you want to do another one. May I suggest that you maybe practice on one of Yulia's. She really does have a nice one.

Back to Yuzu:
My suggestion would be to check Gala footage. I bet under the lights you might catch a really cool composite. I only edit fan videos so I can't speak to if it is a good idea or not.

Thank you! I was waiting it since the previous 3lz3T since I love his ina bauer. You can manage a difficult technical program well! What’s more, the ina bauer at WC 2015 incredibly got the crowd enthusiastic, which was really touching and I cannot forget that scene. Further, in 2014 Sochi practice image, I realized how long the holding time and distance had been…

Thanks Sam-Skwantch, I'm not a huge Julia fan so I don't have a ton of her videos but I do remember her ina bauer from her Shindler's List program seems to be shot in such a way that could make doing a composite easy. I like Yuzu's gala footage too but the the ones with changing lights on the ground like his NHK Trophy Ex would be a nightmare to try since the flower designs on the ice seem to change.

You know GPF 2013 may actually work well, it's got a really good angle and I actually have a good video source for that performance (and most of the background is ice, all one color is so much easier!), but the way it curves sharply behind may give me some trouble. I'll have to give it a shot.

The World Championship image was SUPER easy to do, I think I finished it in less than 10 minutes. The slow motion video and wasn't too curved.

The Olympic one took a lot longer because I tried a different method. I had been importing video directly into Image Composite Editor but this time I exported an image sequence. What I learned was when I get issues like missing body parts or whatnot it's easier to do composites in small chunks, then do a panaroma of all the small composite images. The software is really fickle and crashes ALL THE TIME - it's a good thing I compulsively save my progressive all the time. I think this one took me several hours because I re-did it to capture more still shots of him.

So far I'd say the jumps are harder to capture because of all the blur. I did make one after the ina bauer ones of his 3Lz during nationals which I'll post later and I want to say it took me about the same amount of time because the software crashes so often.

:shocked::shockedo you think he can keep his flexibility to achieve such a long time ina bauer at least until 2018? I hope so, but it seems to be difficult considering his future physical change …I have no idea……

He doesn't need flexibility to hold Ina Bauer, IMO. He can just do upright Ina Bauer, just like Jeffrey Buttle always did. I actually prefer upright Ina Bauer to layback Ina Bauer

I don't think he can loose his flexibility in a 3-year-span especially if he keeps training it.
I am an ex classical dancer and I stopped dancing around 4 years ago. Though I lost some of my flexibility from when I was really training a lot, I am still very flexible. I don't think it is something that goes away.
