I wonder how is his succes rate right now with 3 quads in practice, can't wait to see his first competition in 10 days but I don't expect too much there

)Mr. Hanyu is playing a very dangerous game. He goes for hard layout beyond his stamina. Will he skate cleanly even just one? Both his short and long are so dangerous, especially the short.
But I guess it's better than being a champion who plays safe.

Mr. Hanyu always seems to be the type who lacks core strength to me, his jumps rely on his technique and his small frame other than power. I think his technique is super (when he lands his jumps) but he needs to build more core strength. It obvious that he is not going for 3 quads without thinking about upping stamina. I am sure he is spending a lot time in gym![]()

Mr. Hanyu has very springy leg muscles.I don't think I can really agree with that, because his quads and triple axels are big, and that can't come just from technique but he needs to have strength to pull that kind of height, but maybe I am wrong![]()

Quad is more about power, which last season he lacked, especially with quad Toe he needs healthy ankle for it, but it seems he has bad ankle.
3A is more about technique, which he has always been reliable at.
In short Mr. Hanyu still looks fragile. I know it's his body type and I am glad he no longer crawls on the ice like before. But his last outing he didn't land 2 quads, just 1. So it will be huge challenge for him to go for 3 quads. If he is not clean, judges will not hesitate to out other weaker jumper or skater over him because they happen to be ore consistent.Your point being...?
We all know the reason of many of his failures last season were injuries and lack of training. Without injuries and with sufficient training he'll by pulling off quads as well as any other guy and much better than most.
